Re: LRRcon 2014
Ooh, very interesting. I may have to consider finally renewing my passport.
Re: LRRcon 2014
I know this is terribly inconvenient but could you guys just happen to move it up so it's sometime in April so that when I go visit my girlfriend in Vancouver we can also go to this then?
Seriously though, this sounds fun. I just wish I could go and didn't live half the country away. If I had known this was going to happen I would have pushed back me flying out to Canada until May. Hope everyone going has tons of fun.

Re: LRRcon 2014
I'd really like to go, I just don't think I can justify the cost of flying out to Seattle for a one-night thing. Especially since the only best-priced flight I've found have me arriving too late to just visit the town the day before. But still... I really do want to go. Bleh. Might talk to my folks about this being a birthday present, since my birthday is just over a month earlier.

Re: LRRcon 2014
I live in the southeastern most region of Illinois, but I am heavily considering going to this. Looking like I'm going to be flying out of St. Louis to do it.
EDIT: I'm thinking about making it a three day thing, fly in Thursday, be there Friday Saturday, Sunday, flight out Monday. Question is what should I do those days? Is anyone else intersted in setting up a tour group? Maybe hitting some of the LRR realted sites, like Card Kingdom, maybe some of the Strip Search locales.
ALSO, will you or have you considered bringing in some "friends of LRR" to maybe do some art or signing. Namely K-Straubs. Or Scott "The Kris and Scott's Scott and Kris Show" Kurtz.

Re: LRRcon 2014
Alas, were it sometime after next year, I could totally make it. Though the original plan was to come up for PAX Prime 201X, I may have to replace that for a trip to LRRCon, should this become a regular thing. (fingers cr
That being said, I have a bad feeling its going to be a bit bigger than anybody is expecting. Good Luck, guys!

I'm considering it, depending on whether my company's quarterly meeting will conflict or not.
Also, if I go, it'd be a great birthday present.

Now I have the difficult choice whether to return early from Australia or not.

Re: LRRcon 2014
I really wish I could go. May 10th is my birthday, and that would be awesome.
Unfortunately, I'm likely not going to be moving from Australia over to North America until July/August, so very unlikely I'd be able to make it.

Re: LRRcon 2014
So the blog says may 10th, but the default hotel registration is check in friday check out sunday.
I would like a little more info on the planning before I make plans.
For example if its going to be LRR, doing a couple of panels Saturday, a couple of friends each doing a panel Saturday, and it lasting from noon to 7 pm, with LRR wandering around the lobby doing pick up stuff in between the panels, or "you can play magic at our booth" then LRR is gone Sunday morning its not worth the trip out.
If its going to be Friday afternoon and evening planned but unscheduled silliness at the bar and lobby, scheduled programming all day Saturday into the wee hours, and then planned but unscheduled sunday fun day as people wait for their flights out, Im in.

Re: LRRcon 2014
This ticket purchasing page has this to say on the scheduling:
"Events scheduled 8am-midnight on May 10th. We will be hanging out by the bar on Friday night. Come by and say hi!"
So it's definitely all day Saturday, and looks like there's nothing planned for Friday or Sunday, but with a hotel full of LRR fans, I would expect there might still be some interactions going on.

LIke I said, I would love to put together a tour group of fans who get together and do stuff Friday and possibly Sunday. I am totes on board with that.

It's happening the same day as TCAF, which is where Abby will be, so any chance of her going to LRRcon is dashed. Heart=broken

Re: LRRcon 2014
I booked the hotel and would be open to splitting it with someone. I'd also be interested in carpooling options for others coming from the island/lower mainland. The hotel is rather outside of town.
If people are looking for someone to organize some other stuff as well I can definitely help with that.

Tapir: I'm interested in splitting a hotel, depending how much it'd be. Let's hash this out (over PMs, I assume).

I'm interested in splitting a hotel if I end up going. For now, I'm assuming no, so I'm not going to worry much about it. If I realize I can make it, I'll post here (or make a room-share thread, which might be a better idea than spamming this thread) when I find out.

Re: LRRcon 2014
Would runners closer to Europe be interested in organising a side event for those unable to make the main proceedings?
