I had to admit I was distracted by Paul looking just to the left of the camera through most of the video. Was the script there?

This video was mostly filmed in the lobby of the McKinnon Building at the University of Victoria, my alma mater. The McKinnon Building contains the University's main gymnasium so it hosts many of exams. This video brought back a lot of memories of waiting for exams to start or waiting for other people to finish exams for me.

No… that's odd. Maybe just his glasses?

Weird.

I want The Whole Story behind The Whole Story. How do you fit so many jokes in there?

The next Winter Olympics should include Women's Bear Jousting.

Lycurgus should be pronounced with a hard c, they didn't have soft 'c's in ancient greek. /nitpick

I totally lost it at the shot of the helmet at the end. Brilliant. Also, I love the whole story, so informative!

Topical! (But not Tropical!)

I would call for 'Winter Susan Olympics' shirts, but they have a very limited use window...

Would that be jousting with bears, against bears or while riding bears?

Also, Excellent episode as always. Thanks guys.

I see a Kathleen! Very funny episode, I liked the line about all the summer olympics being circle based. I too noticed the slight look off camera. Considering how well he does whilst balancing things on his head, I assumed it was the script too. Huh.

Haha, me too. I never went to that gym for any other reason.

Great video. I've been watching a lot of Olympics the last few days so it's good to know the history of where it all began.

I was half expecting a SkiFree / Yeti reference, but Susan Olympics and icicle jousting (among others) more than made up for it. Paul's delivery was perfect throughout, and again, those long takes blow my poor little "3 second memory" brain.

Not the best Whole Story I've seen, but I did certainly enjoy it. :)

At least the runs are "mostly" bear free, that's progress right? I loved it.

I would love a Winter Susan Olympics shirt, too, but the International Olympic Committee (Susan's descendants apparently got organized) would probably have something to say about that...
It's not epic unless it's dactylic hexameter.

Susan Olympic's children International and Committee, got together after their mother passed and put some serious rules in place for the future.

Dammit Susan. Look what you've started.

Also, I feel like Paul's reaction in the stinger may have been a little understated. Bear maulings are serious business!

I also got distracted by Paul's eyes fixing right and down. I thought it was where the script was, but he could also be focusing on remembering the words.

Seing Kathleen on the reflection was nice! Like an easter egg. I love "The Whole Story" videos.

I am once again astonished at how Paul's delivery and your collective writing make these "simple walk-and-talk" videos so hilarious. It's a format that is so easy to make flat and dull, and yet you pull it off every time. Kudos!
