James has spent quite a while as a professional contractor, so I'll attribute it to the experience he's acquired in doing so allowing him to borderline eschew the level.

Well, if we actually follow the progression, New Moon Base is, unfortunately, followed by Eclipse Base. So some doe-eyed slack-jawed bint has to get beaten up at least once every six months you're there.
