Really great video. Two things, though:

- Was there a problem with the boom or a gust of wind or something halfway through? Seemed to break the mood a bit.

- Don't think nobody will notice you recycling the music from Informational Presentation. I listen to that shit daily.

To be fair though, it's an amazing composition, so you may as well use it again

Paul! Oh man, Paul! That was the most impressive display of nonsense I've seen in quite a while. Bravo!

The into sequence had me lolling hard as well.

As a watcher of many documentaries, I found this hilarious. I'd love to see more The Whole Story somewhere down the line. Also Paul is really a perfect fit for this kind of role.

First of all, you know how you can often tell if something is a Kathleen script within the first minute? This was like that, only for Paul.

Second, Paul did a very excellent job in demonstrating the first rule of spewing factual bullshit: be as sincere, authoritative and most importantly, deadpan as possible. If you want someone else to believe what you're saying, you have to sound like you're reading it straight from a textbook, because hey, when are they ever wrong?

That was freaking amazing. I second the notion that we need more of this in the future. Also, did you shoot the whole thing in one take? Or did you know where you would be inserting images, and therefore made cuts strategically?

If the stinger is any indication, if they did indeed try to shoot it in one take, they clearly failed.

Seconding this, 'The Whole Story' becoming a 'recurring' series would be awesome. Doesn't need to be cHustle level of quality/frequency/dedication, but it's the perfect concept for you guys whenever you want to take some idea and just be as ridiculous, silly and nonsensical as possible.

To add to that, this is the most enjoyably nonsensical video from you guys in a while. Not to say there aren't ones as silly or wacky, but this video had me grinning because of the absurdity of the 'facts' Paul was saying throughout the whole thing.

...So yeah, awesome vidya.

Paul's fantastic at spewing nonsense with a straight face.

Other than that, didn't really laugh at the video, but still found it entertaining enough.

Oh LRR, you know how much I love dry, deadpan delivery humor, so you must know how much I liked this video. I think the shtick would get old on a weekly basis, but I wouldn't mind seeing "The Whole Story" pop up again every few months or so.

Epic. Lots of lovely silly bits combined with the deadpan delivery.

I take it that was the Uvic library in the opening.

Those benches looked familiar as well, was the outside portion shot near where you shot suspend your disbelief?

Give me a moment to gather my thoughts, Matt's picture completely mind-fucked me over laughing.
Now if I remember correctly at PAX East you guys were talking about Story Guy, and saying that you wanted some way to bring his style of "shitty history." (shitty in this sense meaning non-factual of course)
So that brings up the question "Is this the anwser to that?"
If it is I have no complaints because I loved this, Story Guy would be missed as he is sent to the undergrounds LRR Moon Vault, but it would still be nice to see his style of format back, because I just had a vibe of Story Guy, but with Paul in this.
Anyway nice video.
