I just want to say that the McOz burger is delicious. I miss it being a regular menu item so much that I am going out of my way to go to McDonalds to enjoy it. Not because it's better than non-McDonalds food, but because invariably I will end up going to McDonalds again when the promotion is over and I will be sad if I haven't eaten my fill of the McOz.

Also I concur with the Facebook comment, Australia has a long history of claiming anything they like from New Zealand, and foisting anything they don't like on New Zealand.

Better sources for news? Possibly.

Better sources for poop? Never.

I'm a little confused about the Australian McD's items... I mean... I dunno it almost seems offensive to Aussies... like if McD's came out with a new Canadian menu list filled with lots of stereotypes and dramatic "Canadian" mispronounciations I'd... well I mean I already don't eat there but... you get the idea.

For the record the Mc Oz has frequented our menu for years, I'm still unsure what is Australian about putting beetroot on a Quarter ponder but....FUCK IT beetroot is delicious, also love the hat :)

Also, McDonalds is already pretty much the stereotypical American food, so why not localize?

I'm pretty sure 'beetroot is delicious' is all the reason we need. I am sad about the McOz, though. When I worked at McDonalds a few years ago it was a permanent menu item, then it disappeared, only to show up again as a 'special promotion' every once in a while since.

Wait... that's it! In America, we'd DE-localize it! Just think...

No, hang on, then we'd wind up with a fast food Epcot Center World Showcase. Never mind.

Wait you are expecting McDicks not to be crass?

Australians like shortening things.
