Those Games We Played

Postby Graham » 20 Oct 2006, 19:59

We were a bit later than we have been (but not the latest, so no apologies here!), but I think it's worth the wait.

This is something we've been wanting to do for a while, and it finally came together in just enough time to open Season 4 with a bang. Or at least a cymbal crash. Or something.

You like 64K's "kickin' it real" getups? Well we've got a new wallpaper for you, it's on its way.

Anyway, you like?

That was amazing. This video hightens my belief that LRR should step away from comedy every once in a while and go for a dramatic film.

Kneuronak Likey!

Postby Kneuronak » 20 Oct 2006, 20:11

Oh-Em-Gee. MORGAN GOTS A HaIrCuT!

But it's not funny. Not on a comedy site. I had this friend, Jack to the T, and he just went crazy. We were close. Like this *Holds up crossed fingers*! And then he went. He came into school wearing battle armour and brandishing a 'Battleaxe of the Boar' at his teachers and calling himself '1337' and 'Destroyer of the Red Crusade Farmers'. He was consumed. I tried to get him to come to WoWAA, but it didn't stick with Jack. He was just...

He started referring to his Mom as 'Mother Nightelf', and me as 'Puny-Good-For-Nothing-Alliance-Loving-Dwarf'. And then it came. He turned in a paper to school detailing not the lifestyle of the early Puritan settlers of the Massachusettes Bay Colony, but describing in length his favorite macros. 'I'll never forget the day I set up my Jump-For-Joy macro'. That was his opening sentence. Jack, my buddy, Jack Thompson, my homie, had become addicted to World of Warcraft.

So don't screw with WoW addicts. They're people too. Its not funny, guys.

Stop laughing!

Especially you, Bill.

Also- I was the first to see the video! I'm sure of it! I've been refreshing this site every three minutes, and I saw it, and there was an error, and I was about to go to the forums to complain, but I didn't, because then it showed up properly! Wow, that was frantic and rambling.

Holy shiT!!!

I seriously could see this on one of those many crappy Music Video stations.

I am amazed by the quality.

This what I meant in the LRrumble thread. When you guys let your creativity take control you are unstoppable.

Oh and props for finally having Adam in as someone other than just Adam. How the hell did you convince him to do that?

Heh.
"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."

"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.

"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."

OH MY GOD! that was so good. It actually was really well done, looked like a real music video (didn't sound quite like one). I liked the chorus line, that really helped in the "professional" feel, the "Games That We Played" voice.
That was so funny. At first I thought it was something like he was getting fucked up, but then I was like"Wait, this is LRR". Then when I saw him on the computer..
Oh God that was hilarious.

A+! Your stuff is getting so much beter!

WoW

I think 64K has rapped better such as in 1337 since up do better with something more upbeat.

But as parody - that was better than pimp my chair. Two birds dead with one stone - rap videos and world of warcrack. Some of it reminds me of the Eminem's video Stan.

Heres to a good fourth season (you need to change the title to v4.0)

mirnada told me she hated me a few days ago because I got back into WoW, told me I was going to lose my life to it again. I had a one girl intervention in my car. But I am just a recreational user... I can quit anytime...

Definite kudos. It was a great surprise to see. I definetly thought that something was up, or at least was thinking how you could be so dramatic then bring it back to being funny without crossing a line, but you did it.

That was styled so well, and awesome job (Adam?). That keyboard smash scene was unlike anything I have seen here before.

Didn't laugh, chuckled at the end note, but truly enjoyed the vid.

Lord Chrusher, this is actually a perfect example of Satire versus Parody.

They're making fun of the lifestyle, not imitating a particular person.

(I tried and failed to properly make this point in the last video thread)

Still great vid... loved the color filtering.

Someone should YouTube it, or something. I think it would get quite a bit of views.

I was hoping it was going to turn out to be a DDR addiction but WoW is just as good. That keyboard exploded really well. I think the LRL rap is still the best 64k song but an great start to the new season.

whoaa.... different.

I agree that it looked very professional. If ever became a famous singer (HA!) I'd get you guys to make the music video :P

This is embarassing for a long time LRR fan to say... but I couldn't figure out who the fourth member is :( And there's no credits to save me! And I was wondering who the female singer was as well.

Would it be possible to put the credits back on at the end, just for a second? I always read them, and I could pause it if I had too. Just a thought. It feels unfinished without them!

But the lighting and camera angles were really cool. And the music was good.

And forgive me again for never having played WOW, but what exactly killed him? Just too much WOW and he stopped ticking? Or is there something I'm missing? (I'm horrible with game references)

ALL WILL BE REVEALED!

Damn, I love saying that.
"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."

"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.

"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."

Please don't. We don't get Revver movies that way.

Member 4 is Adam Savidan, and the female singer/Adam's girlfriend in the video is actually Jer's girlfriend Tally.

And he didn't die.
He's just addicted to WoW. Why are we in a graveyard then? I don't know. Shuttup.
