Morgan did, in fact, spend a FUCK SHIT TON of time playing FFX when Bill and I had our place in Fairfield. Wakka and Tidus were the two most powerful ones, especially against single targets, but Yuna was incredibly powerful when you were fighting bosses with adds on the sides, etc etc.

I started playing FFXII again, and I forgot how damn beautiful the game is. D:

Cownden Presents: Suspend Your Disbelief

One Shot Absinthe
One Shot Everclear Grain Alcohol
Two Shots Grenadine
3 oz Hi-C Orange Drink
Absinthe-soaked Sugar cube

Perform a Bohemian Absinthe Ceremony (light sugar cube on fire and let it melt on absinthe spoon into absinthe, then rinse spoon off with water), then put absinthe, everclear, grenadine, and orange drink into shaker, shake up and serve cold in highball

I do not recommend anyone try to make this, as I'm about 90% sure you could DIE from it. But I thought "hmm what would make someone so fucked up that they completely suspend reality and believe that musicals happen in real life?"

I think I may post a new recipe later, but this one was something I had to submit for shits and giggles.

Graham, why don't you have a job? Are you on scholarship? I have a friend who gets $2,000 a month for scholarship, so all he has to do is go to school.

Was I at least close in my estimated $1100 spent on gas? I would hate to think I did some bad maths.

Code: Select all

The Edward James Olmos

7 parts scotch whiskey, warm (blended scotch works nicely)
2 parts honey, clover if possible
A dash of nutmeg

Very carefully mix nutmeg into honey, adding it in a few flecks at a time. Mixed honey should have flecks of nutmeg visible throughout, but no clumps. Pour scotch over the honey/nutmeg mixture, and mix well with a spoon. Imbibe.

Optional - For an added kick, mix in my missing forum rank. It might as well be put to some use.

I am shocked that you don't recognize that question of mine as a quote from SNL (video link in pic).

As for composing music, if you use Finale and GarageBand and take some music theory on the side, from either Andy or Nate, you can all totally start composing your own music.

I'm not an alcoholic, but I got bored and started looking up drinks and mixing them up. I have not tried these at all, but at least it's not like my "Suspend Your Disbelief" recipe.

Code: Select all

Serious Submission #1: It's Very Simple

5 oz tonic
3 oz Gin

Code: Select all

Serious Submission #2: D-fer Madness

1 shot Crown Royal
1 shot Jack Daniels Whiskey
1 shot Grand Marnier
1 shot Lemon Juice
8 oz Mountain Dew
12 ice cubes

Mix in small pitcher, Garnish with figs.  Drink like your next roll depended on it.

Code: Select all

Serious Submission #3: Underpantaloons

1.5 oz 99 Bananas
1.5 oz Stoli Strasberi
Fill with Cranberry Juice

Build over ice in highball glass.

(Also known to some as the "bulge in the pants".  I read the title and thought of Underpantaloons)

Code: Select all

Serious Submission #4: How to Talk Like a Pirate

2 oz Spiced rum
1 oz Southern Comfort
2 oz Gin
1 oz Orange juice
1 oz Lemon Lime Gatorade
4 oz Ginger Ale

Serve over Ice.

The inspiration for this drink is a mixture of a Captain's Table, Captain's Parrot, Captain's First Mate, and Captain's Booty.

Code: Select all

Serious Submission #5: Shaolin Abuse

2 parts Midori
2 parts Coconut Rum
1 part Pineapple juice

I love that video so much. All of the Will Smith Harry Carray impressions make me feel warm inside.

REPETITION IS MANLY!!!! LIKE MASTERBATING! HAAAAAAAAA!

Except when you accidentaly post twice.

As for the Funyuns and Doritos, you can't drink them so it's not really all that tasty.

They could eat them alongside the D-fer Madnes.

No! You MUST blend them into the drink. Don't you see? The ultimate question of the ages has finally been answered. How do you eat doritos and not get your pants or character sheet orange? Blend the chips with the drink for ultimate non-orange-character-sheet-ness.
