Unskippable: Digital Devil Saga

Postby Elomin Sha » 02 Mar 2009, 09:13

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/ ... Devil-Saga

Two jokes in and I was already crying. Unskippable is getting better and better.

"Embrace the truth. Hug it! Now sniff it."
And how does lamp posts escape armageddon in all films and games?

To that Master Gunner all I can say is either:

"Meow!"
or
That's the second slowest insult I've ever seen.

Loved all the references, plenty of laughing to be had. Keep it up G&P!

Wow. I didn' think you could make worse intro scenes than "The Darkness" and "The Bouncer", but I was wrong.
Very funny, again, Graham and Paul.

Garr, you beat me to it elomin...

A Dr. Who reference, a Fallout 3 joke, and the voice of Spike Spiegel? What's not to like? Great work guys.

We are an Invention Exchange short of having our weekly MST3K back.

I noticed that Jessica Fielhauer gets credit for Title Animation Art but Graham gets credit for 3D Animation. Did Graham create the drive-in theater stuff & Jessica just add the Escapist staff names on the screen?

This one is my favorite yet. I laughed until I started hacking, but even that couldn't dampen the hilarity.

Edit: ...man I'm dense. How did I MISS that the first time!? Must have had my headphones down too low or something.

There may have been a Snagglepuss reference at the very end as well. Or I'm hearing things. Both of them are equally likely.

Not my favourite; the scene didn't make any sense, but there didn't seem enough things to make fun of. The Doctor Who reference was perfect, mind.

She did all the design, and the drive-in screen etc.
I did the sign that comes into shot, and pans downward.

How much input did you & Paul have in the whole presentation of Unskippable?

you guys have really got to stop asking how much the paycheque is.

Sorry, but frankly, it's inappropriate to ask, and while I respect that you're curious, all you need to know is that it's enough.

A zebra by itself is pretty non-threatening as it is, but a zebra amputee is just hilariously ridiculous, exacerbated by the fact that they tried to play it as some horrible monster.

All Shin Megami games take every one of their creatures from various mythologies.

The armless horse is Hayagriva from Hinduism.
I can't think of a signature.

I actually totally agree. Nothing in F.E.A.R 2 has scared me QUITE like that Zebra did. 0.o

On a slight segue, F.E.A.R 2 is pathetic as far as horror goes. Doom3 was WAY, WAY scarier. I've never played F.E.A.R though, just wiki'd the plot.
