Operation: I’m With the Band

Runners operation

As you heard earlier this week, LRR is going to be appearing at w00tstock in Seattle and Portland this May.

We haven’t had an Operation in a little while, and w00tstock got me thinking… Appearing in a show with Wil Wheaton, Paul and Storm, Adam Savage, and lots of other cool people is going to be awesome, but appearing in Woodstock would be awesome, too. That will probably never happen for us, but through the magic of computing technology, we can have the next best thing!

Your challenge, Runners, is to create an image of LoadingReadyRun appearing at Woodstock. You can do custom art, you can photoshop our faces onto Jimmy Hendrix or Led Zeppelin, you can create a promotion poster… Be creative with it.

Submit your image to [email protected] with “Operation: I’m With the Band” in the title by midnight PST on Friday, April 30 for a chance to win one of the following prizes:

The Grand Prize winner will receive their choice of a How To Talk Like A Pirate, WiiPlay, or Desert Bus t-shirt!

The two Runners-Up will receive a free button of their choice with their next purchase from the LoadingReadyRun store. (LRR logo three-button pack not eligible for this offer.)

The best entries will also be showcased on our blog.

If you have any questions, leave a comment. Otherwise, get arting!

  5. The DB shirt isn’t available in XL. Will you reprint a shirt if the winner requests one in a size you don’t have?

  6. There is to many of you! I feel like I’d be leaving so much out if I just drew band sized LRR. ;–;

Not good at group pictures. =L
May have to try anyways… Had a great mental picture.

  8. @wartjr2373: We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

@Christoball: Not restricted to US/Canada, no! Everyone is welcome!

  10. Are animated entries allowed?

  11. Feel free to send in something animated, but if the animation gives an unfair advantage over still images then it may not be considered for a prize.

We’d still love to see it though, I’m sure.

  12. Couple questions: Must our entries be family friendly? (Not talking porn or etc, but if there’s potty-mouthed words on signage?).

Also, is the judging process basically, “Hey, that one there is pretty fucking awesome, let’s make it win.” – I’m fine with that, just curious.

  13. The judging process isn’t points-based or anything, if that’s what you’re asking.

Entries shouldn’t involve things that we wouldn’t put in a LRR video, as a rule of thumb. No strict guidelines.
