Personal Belief: In Desert Bus '07, The crew only expected 5k, and the 20ishK was beyond expectations. Now in Desert Bus '08, the same equation was kept, and near the 70k mark it was taking thousands of dollars to move to the next hour. Perhaps the equation should be changed to a more logistic mode...

If you'd like feedback, I first recommend that you not try to draw in an 'anime' style, that you not outline objects, and that you rough out the basic anatomy of people before you start drawing them. 99% of attempts to draw things that look 'anime' always end up looking really, really phony, because...

Using video games as a medium has not been explored, truly, as art before (in my infinite wisdom of art history). I would be interested to see what someone could make using that medium... free of the pressure to ship millions of copies. Actually, there are tons of great independent games produced w...

Also, to continue the tradition of double posts, Gears of War is pretty silly. I'm not saying it isn't art in the same way that if I draw a picture of a cow on a napkin, that is probably art in some sense, but I don't think it's particularly good or meaningful to watch Captain Buff McSquarejaw chain...

I would concede that this is the major argument against my thought. However, I would contend that often the works were not "solely" created for commercial purposes. Often they were crafted with layers of meaning, occasionally making fun of the ones who had commissioned the work. For examp...

This is why I think no video game can be art.

I had Eagleton's book on literary criticism where the best definition of literature he could come up with was "Literature is anything which is read as literature." I think art is pretty much the same way. Short of leaping out of an alley with a handgun and a print of On White II and demand...

Considering that painting of a soup can sold two years ago for 11.8 million dollars, I actually have no idea what the point you are trying to make is.

I think Duchamp is really fun, like a lot of other Dada artists and writers. Stuff like Nude Descending a Staircase, No. 2 is actually fantastically well done, and obviously the Fountain is pretty funny. I also really enjoy Surrealism: Dali, Ernst, Magritte etc. I like my artists talented enough to ...

Yeah, jeez, everyone knows that isn't how you build fictional time-travel devices. I think I could do a bitchin' CCG: except that it probably wouldn't be dedicated to taking as much of people's money as possible, which as far as I can tell is pretty much what they're all about.

I bet Obama would play it.

I also am a constant wearer of scarves. It's just too cold otherwise. Also, the cloud cover is clearing a bit here, and the sun is striping through the breaks in the clouds onto the snowy trees. It is quite pretty.

Oh wait, it's gone again.
