Re: Jonny

I think it would be acceptable fan service to have Story Guy in the back of shot (I would imagine in another room, but can be seen through a doorway; out of focus; at a table, in his vest, packing a bag). No attention is called to him.

Re: Shit People Say

It took a little while to get going, but once it started to get into the more ridiculous parts it was quite good. I think a bit of subtle background music might have increased my enjoyment of it a bit. The stinger did make me laugh out loud however, so that makes up for any issues I had with the ma...

Re: Anybody know HTML

SitePoint is also pretty good, but MDN is probably the place to go.

I hate that W3Schools is always the first result on Google.

Re: Best Wifi Names

All the networks I see listed on my computer are all very generic-looking; except for mine, which I called St Isidore of Seville . I too have seen a WiFi network in town called Unprotected CEX . I like Pretty Fly for a WiFi . Another name I've seen someone use in the past is Bill Wi the Science Fi .

Re: Anybody know HTML

HTML 5 is better than XHTML. XHTML is better than HTML 4. If you're starting a project and need to support older browsers without JavaScript polyfills, but get the feeling that you'll want to upgrade to HTML 5 down the line and drop that support, go with HTML over XHTML because it'll be easier to sw...

I really hope there is, even though it will probably be missing the LRR crew.

Re: LRR T-Shirts

I wasn't around for the Ninja Bees joke.

Although I wouldn't have bought it, I did like the "I have 3 PS3s" shirt, with the slogan on the back, "Also, I have this shirt".

Re: LRR T-Shirts

I am wearing my Desert Bus T-shirt today. I guess I ordered from the first batch because it arrived in England in very good time. It's really comfy and very well made. I also watched my signed After Hours DVD yesterday. I like the idea of resurrecting old t-shirt designs for reprints. I saw the grey...

Re: DE5ERT BUS POSTERS!

I've just realised, unless the crew has moved without telling us this will be the first Desert Bus to be broadcast from the same location as the previous year... For that, I don't think this year's DBFH deserves a whole digit increment. Maybe just call it Desert Bus 4S: same surrounding as the last...

Re: commodoreHUSTLE 07 - Fallout

I was so hoping that they'd do that. It'd be all like "Yeah, we totally faked it. Here's all our behind-the-scenes footage and a reconstruction of us making it" [clip from cHUSTLE].

Re: commodoreHUSTLE 07 - Fallout

For those of you in the UK who saw this week's episode of "Rude Tube" on Channel 4, guess who was at number 7.

Congratulations, Graham: that's another television network you have been broadcast on.

Re: The Official Kathleen and Graham will be in England Thread

God-dammit guys! Why did you let me forget to do the 'get down Mr President' again when we got to Hyde Park? We started it on the walk back but felt it wouldn't be good to do it on a crowded street in the middle of London. I feel sad now. I started a "get down Mr President" after we got t...

Re: The Official Kathleen and Graham will be in England Thread

I presume the extended schedule is: ⋅ People start arriving in London at "around lunch time" ⋅ Have lunch ⋅ If people are in contact with others, they meet up wherever they like ⋅ 2:00 Everyone (who is there by 2:00) meets up at the Wellington Arch &...

Yeah, Wellington Arch looks like a good place: let's go with that.

Question is, what time? I propose 1:30. Do I hear any advances on 1:30?

Re: The Official Kathleen and Graham will be in England Thread

Like the idea of opposite the Albert Hall in terms of "easy to spot". In terms of getting there, it is a bit far away from the tube stops. I'm throwing out an alternative suggestion, for the sake of it: The Fountains. On the north side of the park, right by the Lancaster Gate tube station,...

Re: The Official Kathleen and Graham will be in England Thread

I live and work close to Hyde Park and I didn't even know there were any riots going on in London: that's how un-rioty it is there. The only reason I found out about the riots was because a bunch of my friends were leaving related status updates on Facebook. Also, I got my half day off on Friday. Wh...
