I have 3 PS3!
I bought a launch PS3 a long time ago, it died on me and futureshop gave me an 80 GB that was lacking ALL PS2 BC, but I accepted it, and was atleast happy that I had OtherOS, Sony updated the firmware in early 2010 to remove OtherOS, I bought a second hand launch PS3 and kept my 80GB PS3 with OtherO...

Re: I did it...
Wow, gave up your gaming console to have a really shitty linux computer, congrats... Also, no one ever lost their backwards compatibility or card readers, if you bought a system with them you still have them. Sony pulled linux as it was becoming a security threat, I have no problem with this at all...

Re: I did it...
Have fun paying a monthly fee to play your console. Were you even using your PS3 for Linux? yes, not often granted but I currently have Ubuntu installed on my PS3. Even if I didn't use the feature I believe it was wrong of Sony to remove the feature as it was a feature the consumer paid for, and wi...

as some of you know I've been outspoken against the Xbox 360 due to the RROD and lack of Blu-ray support, well Sony once had a great Gaming console, they used to have a console that had card readers, full backwards compatibility, and Linux Support, Sony released a firmware update on April 1st, that ...

Re: PS3 or XBox 360
I doubt you're gonna get an answer, Beta, but as far as consoles go, what is going on with PS3's backwards compatibility? First Gen was like 2 consoles built into 1 with having the PS2 CPU/GPU built in along with the PS3 stuff, but that was pretty expensive so Sony removed the PS2 CPU causing some ...

Re: PS3 or XBox 360
The Jasper systems. They use a different motherboard and they don't RROD nearly as often under 4% last I read. Google it your fucking self. And all of this doesn't change the fact you came in here and attacked the 360 while offering nothing to the actual conversation. You are being a fanboy. A fanb...

Re: PS3 or XBox 360
Beta, how much research have you done on the 360 failure rate? If it's anything more than googling those links... I've been helping a friend repair his xbox 360 that is also suffering from RROD, but I doubt that matters to you I'm still just a fanboy right? :P I'm sure. My point is you came rus...

Re: PS3 or XBox 360
His tweet talked about how much he loved to tell people how the 360 sucks. And the fact is, I really don't care so much about his rabid inflation of the 360 scratching discs. My 360 is a first generation, was brand new when I got it, and it has never scratched a disc nor been sent in for repairs. B...

Re: PS3 or XBox 360
Actually, I'm not debating. I'm calling you a rabid fanboy. Also, I'm planning to get a PS3 when I have a chance. So, piss right off. My issue is the rabid fanboyism coming from you. SONY AND MICROSOFT DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOU. I don't understand why you have such consumer loyalty. You're basica...

Re: PS3 or XBox 360
360. Controller is much more ergonomic. Also, epic Sony fanboyism there, Beta. Two things, the 360 scratches discs if you move it between standing and laying while playing a game, a stupid thing to do. And DVDs are NOT more suceptible to being scratched than blu-ray. I don't know where you heard th...

Re: PS3 or XBox 360
The PS3 look I'll try to make it as definitive in 1 post as I can, the failure rate of the Xbox 360 appears to be RISING look at the artcile dated in 2007 claiming 33% failure rate http://www.ripten.com/2007/07/03/failur ... ss-than-1/ and a 2009 article stating it to be 54.2% Xbox 360 still uses DV...

madAlric: you are right for most of what you said, I'm not looking at moving to OS X as a magic fix for my problems, I already have OSX running, and have come to know it's positives and negatives, Apple needs to do alot of work in my opinion but it's a good system, and I'm hoping Microsoft will see ...

Anatidaephobia: I built a quad core with 2 GB RAM (when Vista was first released), and Vista was BSOD'ing on me constantly I update every time there was an update, grabbed the latest drivers etc... nothing worked it kept BSOD'ing the problem Microsoft couldn't make Vista play nice with my Nvidia chi...

So you didn't answer Tim's question. What specifically do you hate about Windows? And if you hate Windows so much, just switch to linux. I like centos myself, but then again I do lots of server stuff. I did answer his question Windows have grown bloated and as a result is increasingly adding insecu...

Re: PO'd Windows user looking at buying a macbook pro but...
So do you have practical issues with Windows, or just ideological issues? it's a mix of issues, I used to be a Microsoft fanboy but Microsoft have gone a very different direction, they are changing things that should be left alone. When NT4 was released it was lean fast and capable, it was a stable...

Let's me tell the story why I'm upset and my problems with moving to Apple, first of all Microsoft has done some stupid things in the past (if Microsoft Bob was the worst of it I would be a happy Windows user) Microsoft Released Windows ME, it was a horrible failure and Microsoft learned from that, ...

Allen is usually very active in this game, however he has been VERY quiet he last posted at 06 Dec 2009 14:46 if he can't bother to be active in the game for almost 2 weeks, he's preventing us from dealing with the toaster scum as he's not actively voting when we need him.
