Re: Officially Forgotten?

So I come back to the forums after all these years and that's right when they're abandoning them? That figures.

Re: Economic Stimulus

Quite enjoyable. Though I feel that the conversation between Andy and Kathleen could have used a couple wider shots with both of them in it. All the close-ups made it feel a bit claustrophobic. Of course, it's quite possible that neither actor were available at the same time and you quickly filmed ...

So there is a real person named Justin McElroy? Until you actually showed him I thought you were making a Phil Hendrie reference.

Beardless Paul is awesome. With the glasses he kind of looked like Buddy Holly. More so than Gary Busey at least. Now if we could just have beardless Graham back, we'd have some well kempt, respectable looking people in charge around here.

My vote is, it's awesome. This is a great idea. Honestly, after listening to all the podcasts yet again I think I'd probably come back every week just to watch you guys sitting around doing nothing. You're like my unreachable Canadian friends, that never let me get a word in edgewise.

Morgan would walk up with some odd bit of something, like a Bad Dudes NES cartridge, then look affirmingly at the flyer. Who would ever sell their Bad Dudes cartridge? Morgan, I guess. Perhaps he wasn't a bad enough dude to save the president. I guess to put things back on topic I should mention, a...

are the hat-wearing guys and rappers supposed to be establishing shots for the sheperd and class room bits respectively? Because the idea of establishing shots seems contrary to rapidfire. I raised that very question to graham last night when I wrote the post in question. I wasn't certain that France had a queen at the time - but I thought queen was funnier than king, so I left it be. -m It was a good choice. If nothing else it made me go learn about the French monarchy for an hour. ...

FYI for all: It's all good. Everything is fine, nothing is broken. But that still doesn't answer the burning question. Which Victorian-era queen of France are you? Fun fact, in researching the matter, because I wasn't sure if France had any queens during Victoria's reign, it turns out France can't/...

And the XKCD reference, I think, was "I'm going to do science like no one has done before!" or somesuch. That wasn't intended to be a reference: in my understanding, "I'm going to do science!" is practically a meme. Pretty much this. I like to think it starts with the movie Lost...

What about Mary Poppins? That's a musical, and a pretty good one, too.

Elsa Lanchester, who played the female monster in the Bride of Frankenstein, plays the nanny that quits at the beginning.

It was meant to be part of a trilogy, but I guess sales weren't so great. The ending is worth getting to, but you can see where there was room to tell more. I'm not complaining, honestly, because Y2J deserved a belt. And a real belt, not the Intercontinental or some shit like that. Thanks for clearing that up. Portal by Activision

I keep hearing people talking about Portal, and every time I hear that name it makes me think of the only Portal I know which is the interactive book/experience/game-like thing by Activision. I played it as part of the Commodore 64 15-pack that Activision released in the mid-90s for Windows. You are...
