Definately either Captain Hammer or Caleb, depending on where I am on the comedy/drama slide I am.

Re: Spidey 4 is No More!

I certainly hope not. Ang Lee's Hulk was a masterpiece. The Incredible Hulk was a sea of mediocrity. I'd expect the same to happen with Spider-Man.

Re: Games you were late to the party for.

I only started playing La Pucelle: Tactics a few days ago. Once that's been put through its paces, I'll be moving onto Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. Both of these are over half a decade old.

I don't think this is the intended response, but I really want to play this game right now. Does it come in PS3?

The first game that I ever got really into would be Spyro the Dragon. But the one game that's shaped my preferences more then any other would be the Legend of Dragoon.

You guys really should do more music videos. I don't think you've made a single one that isn't top-notch. Hmm, ever seen "Suspend your Disbelief"? Yes, and with the possible exception of "The Writer's Room" and "Eyewitness Accounts", it's the best video LRR has ever do...

Eye of the Tiger. That song just hurts now, even if I'm not playing.

Two Words: Odin Sphere. Hands down the best writing I've seen in a game, and surprisingly good voice acting as well. Should be fairly cheap to pick up at this time too.

Re: The Final Fantasy Rant

I've started my entire FF collection from FF 4. I left 1 and 2 for when I had time to really force myself through the dull parts to the good parts. So I beat 4 and 5. 4 definitely had the better story (except from Oh look! He's dead! Oh look! He's back! Oh look! He's dead again! Oh, he was just hid...

Anyway, the point is IF YOU DON'T WATCH THIS YOU'RE A NAZI OR A COMMUNIST OR A TERRORIST OR WHOEVER WE'RE FIGHTING NOW-A-DAYS!!! (Wait, aren't we fighting the Dutch, again?) I take offense to that! I'm communist and I like WALL-E fine. (Admittedly, I liked Kung-Fu Panda more, but WALL-E was objecti...

NOW WHAT GUYS. OH YEAH.

I see your X-2 and raise you a Dirge of Cerberus. I don't care what you say, that game was awesome.

I prefer Power Metal (with Sonata Arctica, Blind Guardian, Dragonforce, and Rhapsody of Fire being preeminent) and Symphonic Metal (Nightwish and Within Temptation).

Re: Covers that are better than the original

I'm probably about to commit musical blasphemy, but I find myself preferring Limp Bizkit's version of "Behind Blue Eyes" over the original. I just find their vocals a lot clearer. I'm also apparently the only person on earth whose favorite rendition of Hallelujah is Rufus Wainwright's.

I'll go against the grain and say that Uncharted is nothing special. A solid rental. Personally I'd grab Disgaea 3 and Folklore first.

Re: Which FF should I play next?

Of the ones you listed, 9, for all the reasons that have already been said. X-2 is horrendously underrated but a lot of fun, and VII is terribly overrated but still a good game (though I must be the only person alive to prefer Dirge of Cerberus to the original). XII I found dull as dishwater, and wo...

Re: Favourite game to play to completion. POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Odin Sphere. A brilliant plot from beginning to end, and characters that you can actually empathize with (this no doubt helped by the surprisingly talented voice actors they hired for the game). The end is tough to get to, but well worth the effort, and it has the cutest little twist at the end. I'l...
