Re: KickStarter Smoothie

Glorious return!

I gotta admit though, I was kinda hoping that you guys would've saved a couple of spoonfuls of each one to make one last glass. The 'final boss' if you will.

Re: Doctors Hate Her

You know I actually got up and went to my front door when the doorbell sound-bite played in the vid. It was that real.

Aside from that random fact.. yeah. I can't say much that hasn't been said: This was one of your best.

Keep letting those scripts get away from you Graham!

Re: The New Chess

Great vid! New A9 intro was awesome. Glad white finally got nerfed. I was looking at Chess 2 a few days ago and the king crossing the middle rule seemed like the worst thing about it to me. So much of what chess (4.5.1) is about is the endgame where the king becomes very active, often moving all aro...

Re: I'm sort of back. And have questions

So the graphics card results are in mostly, if you're still looking. AMD has released everything from their new generation except for the R9 290, and Nvidia has responded accordingly by dropping their prices, adding game bundles, and announcing one new card, the GTX 780ti. If you want new games, Nvi...

Re: I'm sort of back. And have questions

Haswell is the latest generation of Intel CPUs, but the Ivy Bridge is fine. The performance increase between even the Sandy Bridge generation and the current Haswells isn't astounding. I would go with whatever you can get the cheapest CPU/mobo deal with. If the price jump is double for the RAM with ...

Re: I'm sort of back. And have questions

Yeah, GPU shopping can be mystifying. The naming schemes don't really make a ton of sense. As I’m sure you’ve noticed, the first number is the generation. E.g. the most current Nvidia cards are in the 7th generation, like the 770. The second number is pretty much the performance indicator. Enthusias...

Re: I'm sort of back. And have questions

You might want to wait a couple of weeks as AMD is releasing their new line of GPUs this month. For now they are looking really good as far as price/performance goes (but we don't have benchmarks yet, so we can't be sure). Those will be the R9 series. In any case, they will drive Nvidia prices down ...

Re: Battlefield 3

I don't know. But I think screw spawn on squad leaders only. Because what happens if your squad leader gets killed? he has to respawn from the nearest base again, and anybody left in enemy territory either has to carry on without him, wait, or more likely, get killed, wasting everybody's time and y...

Re: Battlefield 3

Has it been confirmed that there will only be 4 members to a squad? I haven't read that anywhere and I hope that they will bring back squads very similar to BF2. The concept of spawning on any of your squadmates like in BC2 is not very good for supporting teamwork and effective squad-based gameplay....

Man, I'm loving this game. I was a little concerned about how much I was going to get into it until I hit Freeside and Camp Mccarran. After that I realized how much depth this game has. Absolutely everything is better that FO3. I've only experienced 1 bug so far, that being the NPC framerate drop, b...

Just got the chance to play it for a couple of hours! :D So far I'm only in the first town. There's not much happening. A couple of things I've noticed are that the dialogue, both NPC lines and player choices, seem a lot more varied and interesting. Secondly, I have no freaking clue on how to play t...

Opera is my personal preference. The speed dial is really nice for the pages I visit all the time. The mouse gestures are handy and built-in so you don't have to find an extension. Opera Unite and Link are also cool features that I use sometimes. Overall, the interface is clean and everything is eas...
