Re: Honestly Australia, what the heck?? {Mature}

Australia - the one place on earth where you can say "TEHR R NO GIRLZ ON TEH INTERNETS~!!" and actually mean it.

Homebrewing on the hardwares - what's your story?

If you're not much of a gadget type, homebrew might not take your fancy and you might be in the dark about it. Heck, it's normally misunderstood as just being the art of getting pirated games running on a console. While it can be for just about anything - linux, games or just because you can - being...

Re: Phailhaüs - 27

Wow, not what I expected. But I'm PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.

So I'm in two minds - "yay, incoming Phailhoise!".. but also "but it won't be like this one :/". I'm confused at this duality.

Australia is clearly the more progressive market in terms of demand for ball-kicks.

Would it be possible (time permitting) for Paul to do some script-foo on logged sessions to statistically geo-id them?

Re: And Google swings for the fences against china.

The Chinese govt has been playing this game for a long time. Something to note is that it may well have been people with close ties rather than officials, but regardless... same screwy crap that's hit companies and governments before. How China responds to this is going to be so damn interesting. Tw...

Legally, I became 20 today (well, it just ticked over midnight, so *yesterday). In all due respect to technicalities though, I'm still about 6 or so hours away thanks to silly timezones.

I have a plurality of birthdays, but am not the Queen. How's about that for a party trick.

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

Happy non-denominational annual festive vacation period, guys (and girls). May your spiritual/vacationing and/or consumerist desires be fulfilled, and stuff. Also, have a lamb taco in celebration. I'm a few min early in Perth time, but hey... gotta get to sleep before midnight, or Santa won't come! ...

I'm a chilli lover, checking-in...

While your ass may be on fire - adding oregano, chilli sauce and chilli flakes to your chicken&bacon pizza from Dominos is made of WIN. These three toppings being free extras, even with a cheap tuesday deal, means it's approximately DOUBLE WIN!

Re: Switzerland Has A Totally Rational Fear of Minarets

While there are obvious indications of racial undertones wrt the policy, the Swiss have the right to ban things as they please under the constitutional right of legislation so long as the law is not unjust. I haven't read the whole thing, but nobody yet that I've heard from has indicated it's unjust...

I'm not sure I'd be able to change all that much with words. It would be much easier if it was a "relive everything since" scenario, but hey. Not sure that there's much I'd tell my past selves.. maybe to get off my butts and start living out in the real world would be the biggest. I'm far ...

Even though ustream works fine, are you thinking of alternatives like bittorrent streaming?

What personal achievement during the run are you bussing proud of and want to gloat over?

A little annoying having the Tila Tequila feed beating you out for that short while?

I'll put my hand up here. Just finished 2nd year CS, so I'm yet another CompSci major looking to make a difference. I had my IRC running on a heavy-duty server at uni, yet it was chugging at times. That and the fact hundreds of people are planning to converge on Victoria has me both worried and exci...

What is it Berlusconi has that keeps him in power? The media empire he has surely isn't the entirety of it since that wouldn't sway politicians to vote in stupid legislation. I'm doubting it's mafia or anything that full-on, but I'm not living in Italy so I don't have the slightest idea. If anyone k...

Wave is going to make it or fail miserably depending on if people find a need for it. I'm in a city in the middle of nowhere, and if you ask anyone who's moved here from the east coast (masamune? :)) you'll be treated to a rant about the girls here being crazy.

With that and my lack of socialising, I don't expect to update here any time soon :/
