Re: iPhone 5 ... I mean 4S w/ iOS 5
Dolphin, I expected a 4s, and hoped for a 5 as well. In that scenario, the 4s replaces the 4, but drops $100 and becomes the budget option—presumably cheaper to produce thanks to manufacturing refinements—and the 5 becomes the new standard. Notably, off-contract, the 4s sells for $100 less in Canada...

Re: iPhone 5 ... I mean 4S w/ iOS 5
I think there are some things that you're missing, Dolphin, when you say the 4s is exactly what you thought the 5 would be, and when you say that the 4s represents a huge upgrade, while the 4 did not. Apple tends to leapfrog spec bumps and major feature additions year-on-year, with the "S"...

Re: Episode 2 - Bungie Jumping.
We are, at times, at the mercy of the news cycle. "What is Bungie doing?" was by far the most interesting jumping-off-point for a story this week and if we were going to get into conspiracy theories, bringing back Rex Carnegie just made sense. I want myself "established" in the e...

@Jerr: I love how you wrote yourself into the part that required learning the fewest number of lines (except maybe for Taly). You knew what you were doing when you wrote this one, didn't you? [insert wink here] Yeah, I did a lot of lying around, prompting the quote from Paul "I see what you di...

Re: Loading Ready Records?
Jim, everything you have said is more-or-less true to an extent, but be wary of veering too far into speculative territory. We have said many times that we would like to re-record a music collection, and we have not done that to this point. We are juggling a lot of projects at the moment but this by...

Casting Call: Scene Kids in Victoria
We’re going to need a bunch of extras for an upcoming ENN shoot in downtown Victoria this Sunday at around 3:30pm. Specifically, we need folks who are 18-35, and can dress like scenester-artists. We are talking skinny jeans, swoop hair, ironic t-shirts, nose piercings, men in low-cut V-neck sweaters...

Re: Rejected ENN Moves to The Escapist
Would this extra content be here or on The Escapist? Since the logic of moving Rejected ENN Stories (which I agree with) there is to keep all ENN material in one place, it seems incongruous to have another bit of bonus content over here ... I guess if it were 'free to all' on over there (as opposed...

Re: Rejected ENN Moves to The Escapist
Hey Jer - I don't personally mind at all about the videos being hosted on The Escapist, but I think you guys need to bear in mind that you're always going to annoy some people if you do stuff without warning and then justify it. I agreed with you. As with many things, this did not come together ove...

Re: Rejected ENN Moves to The Escapist

Woah, Pizza! Thanks for the feedback, everyone--we're very much listening to your input :). I'm putting some serious thought into what we can do to fill the hole in the LRR blog. No, but if they wanted it, I'm sure the guys would listen to an offer if it was put before them and worth it.
Keeping LRR-focused content here is actually quite important to us.

Rejected ENN Moves to The Escapist
Hey guys, this morning, as we always knew could happen, Rejected ENN moved to The Escapist Publisher's Club. I've already seen some grumbling on the forums about it, so I wanted to acknowledge that yes, this has happened, and offer an explanation as to why: we offered it to them. Since the recent ch...

Re: ...What.
There's no easy answer for things like Rejected ENN. On one hand, nobody has contacted us about moving it to the Escapist, but it could happen: it's their brand we're leveraging. On the other hand, that would likely involve us getting paid for work that we're largely already doing, and we'd probably...

Just to quickly sound off, here's what's going through my head: 1- Things cost money YouTube--which is run at a loss, on the back of Google fiber purchased outside the scope of its budget--has horrendously devalued streamed video on the internet. As far as most users are concerned, it's free. Ask mo...

Re: New Escapist Talent
Well I don't think there's any shame in watching something once--it's important to do so if you're going to have a dialogue about it. It's frankly not something I, as a man who plays D&D, find at all captivating, but to each his own, I guess. I've thrown around a lot of ideas for how I'd do a D&...
