Re: TTC 101 - Battle for Zendikar Previews

That is correct anywhere but on the stack. HBW has a CMC of 0 while in hand, it gets put on the stack and still has a CMC of 0. Then you pick a value for X and it gets a CMC of 2*X. At this point the legality of play is checked and Void Winnower makes it illegal. If there is no Void Winnower in pla...

Re: TTC 101 - Battle for Zendikar Previews

Void Winnower doesn't care about what you actually pay to cast the spell, just what the cmc is. Yeah, if I am not mistaken it is correct that Hangarback Walker has an even cmc but not because it has two x's in its cost but because in order to calculate the cmc of a "x-spell" you take the ...

Re: TTC - So You've NEVER Drafted Before

Just watched this episode of TTC and just wanted to tell the following story because I felt like you didn't mention it specifically, although people hopefully still get it from your mana curve discussion and such: I usually do the draft simulator on dailyMtG every Monday and sometimes even check the...

Re: TTC - BNG Spoilers Round 1

When was this recorded? Also: Which site(s) do you use for this? Because on dailymtg.com I am able to find Phenax but I can't seem to find the white card in the scry 2 cycle you are talking about.

Re: TTC - Catching Up

Just wanted to say love your casual take on MtG, keep up the good work. Also concerning Doubling Season; I think the main problem WotC has with it stems from the fact that it is from original ravnica block and thus pre Planeswalkers, this means that when it was created Planeswalkers weren't taken in...

Most decks run a certain number of instants and sorceries so each time you randomly exile one of those on your opponents side you will get ahead on 'permanent count'. On top of that make sure that ...

About those people that are baffled that you do all sorts of other stuff; you could look at that as you guys being successful in communicating that information, since the fact that they made that comment means that they figured it out! Especially if they don't mention how long they have been followi...

Re: TapTapConcede Ep04 - Q&A

On the nickname question: I think that Obzedat is nicknamed ghost dad because it's a ghost and his name is Obze-DAD.

Oh and one of the nicknames I like you didn't mention was Cinderella for cinder elemental although it is a reprint.
