It wouldn't be that unlikely for you to already possess gear that would kill him in under 30 seconds, since none of it is expensive or rare, but in any case yes you do. Midnight Mauve is more than enough.

Re: The Game Venting Thread

So getting to the end of a dungeon before the boss, it hits 6 and you're forced to go back to the start of the dungeon again (and in many cases a bit further back). Maybe there are exceptions, but you do get the option to return to where you were standing. I didn't use it very often, I dunno. Anywa...

Well, not really, but close enough.

Anyway, my understanding was that floss->brush->mouthwash is the most effective order, so that's usually what I do.

Even if she didn't capture her own video, the nature of the series kind of necessitates playing them, don't you think?

I didn't have internet for a week, so I guess I'm late to the party, but I'm rather miffed that he never answered my question. That scalawag!

Anyway, I wonder what does compel people to switch sides on this. Evidently it isn't what happened here.

I bought Udyr and have been failing so massively. Udyr is not super powerful right now, but he is fun and relatively forgiving as far as the fundamentals of jungling. He's not very good at ganking, so you should try to exert pressure in other ways if your lanes aren't just presenting free kills. Fo...

Why must everything be so painfully generic? Lookin' at you too, Dragon Age. And you too, Elder Scrolls. Also you, Mass Effect. Don't think because you're painfully generic sci-fi that you escape my peeved-ness. I feel like calling Mass Effect and Elder Scrolls generic is way off the mark. The leve...

Re: Episode 36 - Exhausted Fantasy

I've actually just replayed FFVII. Some thoughts: -Cloud does get some okay characterization. He's not amazing, but it's better than what people usually describe. -People really undersell how well done Sephiroth is. He's not super deep, but the game goes to great lengths to make him an effective vil...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread yet?

Something which "lacks a mana cost" can neither be cast (see the cards that can only be spliced from kamigawa, or lotus bloom) Almost. Spells without a mana cost can be cast, you just can't pay its mana cost to do it. Anything that says you can play something instead of or without paying ...

Just like tokens, the backs of double-faced cards do not have a mana cost.

I'm finding my aging reflexes are making DXHR seem harder than the original was, but to be honest, it's probably no more difficult (although Adam's death cries are less melodramatic than J.C.'s were). Eh, if you're playing stealth, Human Revolution is probably a bit harder just because takedowns co...

Re: LRRCraft presents: LRR Dedicated TF2 Server

With Cloak and Dagger you have to cover every square foot of the map in fire. A cloaked spy cannot hurt you. Plus, you don't really care where a spy is if he's not messing with your shit. Your Eternal Reward eliminates any existing pretense that someone might not be a spy There has never been any s...

Re: LRRCraft presents: LRR Dedicated TF2 Server

Figuring out how to deal with the new tricks that the spy gets and being a better player are one in the same. The thing is that the spy has nothing but tricks. Once you figure out how to deal with them, spies are the worst class in the game. He needs new tricks to be usable. It's not like the cloak ...

Re: LRRCraft presents: LRR Dedicated TF2 Server

Yes, but the Spy doesn't have such a divergent play style from his items. Yes, he does. Eternal Reward is massively divergent from normal spy play. As are C&D and DR. He just gets more perfected, thereby driving you either to despair from sapping, or to a class that barely resembles the actual ...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread yet?

I can understand the mechanic, but I think the dual cards from Kamigawa did it better in practise. Flip cards just weren't very evocative of the transformation theme. Plus, they were visually busy, which was problematic when trying to see which state they were in, especially when tapped. Also, a nu...

On the other hand, if they counterbore your coretappers, it's as good as doing it to Titan Forge as well, since at that point it's pretty much useless.
