Re: Overwatch LRR group
The Heroes of the Storm event shouldn't be too difficult. First quest with Genji allows you to play games vs bots for credit, so anyone should be able to just steamroll through that in about an hour. Officer D.Va next week though.. you've gotta play both with and against other people. People are awf...

I recently finished Nier Automata and after a couple days of sitting around feeling empty inside I decided to pick up Shenzhen I/O, and go back to TIS-100 Because why learn one fictional version of assembly across a mesh work of tiny processors when you can learn two separate but similar versions. I...

Re: Desert Bus getting a VR remake.
If they are savvy with the current gaming culture they should make it exactly like the old game but the bug splat, car freshener and day/night cycle are separate pre-order exclusives depending on platform. And the bus stops are dlc. They're planning to make it part of a VR compilation similar to Sm...

Building a new PC for the first time since.. before Obama was elected. Bought a cpu that didn't come with a heatsink. Bought the cheapest heatsink/fan I could get while still being a decent brand and decent reviews. I never really considered the size because it was like $30CAD and I couldn't imagine...

Actually, they brought them all back for a week, but Kapol posted that on the last day of that promotion.
Of course.. someone else probably could have / should have posted about it earlier in the week

Got Hacknet in this months Humble Monthly and basically devoured it today. It was a lot of fun and reminded me of playing SlaveHack (a pseudo hacking/puzzle mmo thing) back in the day.. but slightly less stressful. There is a bit of handwaving that usually comes with the territory, you mostly just u...

I'm ANeM#1496 in the Americas region on PC. I'm having fun with the beta thus far but wouldn't mind having some more reliable people to play with.

SUPERHOT has been absorbing my life over the last few days. The price base price is a bit steep and the campaign took me a brisk 100 minutes the first time through, but it is a phenomenal shooter. Endless and Challenge modes are basically the bulk of the game and they are amazing. I've unlocked near...

So the Dying Light Expansion pack is finally out, and it is actually pretty good. Sure, they've pretty much wholesale replaced free running with driving, turning the game into "Far Cry with Zombies" but it still works. I've put about 12 hours into it so far and I've still got a few more qu...

Having gotten to an ending, I can say with a fair bit of certainty: there are no impossible puzzles. You just don't yet know all the rule sets. The town combines puzzle elements from all over the island, so you're bound to get stuck.

Watching Cam play XCOM got me to finally play through the game myself. It was great up until the last cutscene where it kept crashing, thus keeping me from getting the achievement and additional second wave options. Still, it was really fun, I'm glad I bought the game. It was nice to have the EW stu...

It has been a while since I posted but that doesn't mean my backlog has remained untouched. Another year, another set of games I'll never get around to beating! However, I won't let the inexorable passage of time and my own poor impulse control get me down. I've still been finishing games. So let's s...

I'm surprised Graham didn't cite the most important reason to use VATS in melee, which is that you take like 90% less damage while executing attacks in VATS.
Perhaps he is unaware? Either way, this is why damage always seems to spike and murder Agatha immediately after coming out of VATS.

So... is the Tomb Raider multiplayer dead? Just finished single player and wanted to check multi. Servers work fine but there's just nobody on them. It isn't completely dead, but matchmaking is a nightmarish mess. Basically you can only be matched with people who have the exact same DLC packs as yo...

As with every new Bethesda game, Fallout 4 is the most Bethesda game to date. I'm having fun, certainly but it is tinged with a constant feeling of disappointment. The animations are still awful, the writing is often uninspired and forced. The UI is.. worth a multi paragraph post on the Venting thre...

Yeah, and it should be noted that it isn't as if there are just undocumented fixes. Benchmarks have shown that the new patch doesn't do anything for performance over the "interim" patch from a few months back. They "worked" on this for months and the best they could come up with ...

So Arkham Knight finally re-released on PC and.. it is shit. Despite reassuring players that the lackluster and woefully behind schedule "Interim" patch was just meant as a stopgap before a more substantial patch to hit upon the relaunch of the game, todays patch has added effectively noth...

But when I went to open my laptop to clean it, I somehow broke it. That destroyed my self confidence in assembling a PC with expensive components. Laptop internals are far more complex and sensitive just due to the small space they have to be crammed in to. It is easy to jiggle loose a vital wire o...

More games! Always more games. Some short, some not so short. 140 : A short little platformer with a rhythm-twist. Re: Should I buy a PS4?
Currently I lack any real enthusiasm for my choice to buy a PS4. However, this is partially due to being a PC gamer primarily; a lot of titles I could have bought (and given the age of my PC, probably should have bought) on the PS4 were instead purchased for my computer. With The Witcher 3 already o...

I've finished a couple more things since my last post: Watch_Dogs: Nearly everything that can be said about the first Assassin's Creed can be said about what is certainly going to be the first in a series of Watch_Dogs titles. I've been burning through a couple of smaller games recently: Grow Home, Contrast and Gravity Ghost. My experience with Grow Home pretty much mirrors Trippzens. Short with floaty controls, but never the less enjoyable. Contrast on the other hand wasn't quite as good. It had a lot of good ideas that ...
