Re: Gif or Jif?

Gi makes a J sound. Giraffe, Giant, Gibberish. It only makes sense. But English is stupid. What about Git, Gimp or Gill? But English is stupid. FUN FACT! One of the easiest ways of telling whether an English word that starts with G comes from a Germanic or a Romance language is to look at its pronu...

Re: Insects for Dinner

Someone will eventually think to call them "Land Lobsters" or something and then it'll be easy selling. The typical tactic that I've seen people use is hiding them in candy. In the town where I live, you can even go to the 7-Eleven and find, right at the checkout counter, LOLLIPOPS WITH D...

Re: Insects for Dinner

Actually, about two billion people eat bugs as a dietary staple . It's not that weird. (Side note: I have eaten grillos fritos – literally, Spanish for "fried crickets". They don't actually taste like that much: actually, they're kind of bland. The only real taste is the massive amounts of...

Holy crap, I just QWOPed SO hard at that. Incredible work, gents. I think that this sketch is going to be the Blue's Clues equivalent of "Snow, Glass, Apples" for me. A work derived from another, older work of fiction that takes it into a new, twisted, dark place and colors your impression...

EAST Pittsburgh Penguins (1) vs. New York Islanders (8) While the Penguins may have the advantage of vastly superior numbers and the ability to slide on their bellies on ice, as well as their dancing skills, I believe that the Islanders will be able to capture, kill, or devour the Penguins, due to t...

I actually don't mind the fact that popular culture is oversaturated with vampires and zombies and dystopian teenagers.

What I ACTUALLY hate are dark, gritty reimaginings of Grimm's fairy tales.
