Re: Television We're Watching Now

@Aeralis - I really liked the new MST3K as well. I don't really mind the new Gypsy voice as much as it gets another real female voice on the show, but the new Tom voice actor is nothing like Kevin Murphy and to me, it's a little jarring. During hte movie riffs there's no real issue, but during the s...

Re: Musical Taste and Anxiety

I love music. But I hate people who claim "x band sucks" or "y song is the best. how could you not like this..." To me, Music is one of the most subjective mediums possible. It affects how you feel and nobody is going to have the same experience with music that everyone else does...

Re: Politics and the Vague Fear of Something Called Donald Trump

Twitter is kind of a double-edged sword in this area. On one hand, something as quick and socially ubiquitous didn't exist before so it didn't seem to be as big as a issue as it seems to be now. On the other hand, maybe it's a bigger deal today because we have Twitter now and it seems like a bigger ...

Re: LRR Community Streamer

I don't really know when or what I'll stream immediately, but I've been thinking about streaming a lot lately, and I'm going to at least put this forward to give myself a push to actually do it. Also, I'd be willing to join up with other people and try to do a "Supershow" kind of thing(pla...

Re: Talking Simulator

I don't know much about what ACM was like before 2010 apart from it going through several iterations. But I think part of the reason it wasn't given more focus earlier on was because a new Aliens vs Predator game was also being made and came out in 2010.

DNF does have a pretty long and rocky history. I'm pretty happy to have taken part in finally getting it released at the very least.

* Avatar & Cover Images I don't want to bother Featherweight for community avatar & cover images (as he's probably busy enough), but I don't want to keep things blank either. So anything would be welcomed. I do some 3D Art and Graphic Design myself and I've had a thought for a possible cove...

I think they're focusing more on PPVs/Big Events and the stories connected to them. Hopefully they are able to do more in between.

Re: LRR is starting to lose me

Criticism in any form is difficult to give and difficult to take, especially in a community like this that, afaik, is generally positive and supportive. Sometimes you don't want to say something in fear of being harsh or seen as just being negative, but you also want to let your opinion be known, ev...

Re: LRR is starting to lose me

I regularly watched LRRs weekly videos and LRRcasts for several years, but I stopped watching a short time before they started their final season, but I came back about a year ago. Because of this, I don't really know Beej, Ian, Heather and Cori all that well. As far as content I enjoy, I like some ...

Damn you. You've reignited my addiction to this game. I had over 200 floors iirc. Although it looks like they added some new mechanics to streamline things a little better.

Abatron RTS/FPS Hybrid Game Kickstarter

Hey guys, a friend of mine is helping out with a Kickstarter project called Abatron. It's a neat RTS/FPS Hybrid. They've done a lot of work to get it ready for kickstarter and they really need to get some more eyes on it, so if you, or anyone you know would be interested in a game like this please s...

Re: Television We're Watching Now

Yeah, I have some high hopes for Discovery. I like Bryan Fuller's work and I like the idea of following a female Lieutenant Commander rather than a Captain. Also the fact that it's going to be a serialized series rather than procedural.

Re: Television We're Watching Now

I went through DS9 and VOY about 2 years ago. DS9 is good, but I always disliked what they did with Gul Dukat in the final season, I always liked the duality of his character, but then they just made him a complete villain . Voyager I still like for various reasons. The Doctor and Seven of Nine most...

Re: Ghostbusters 2016

I find it somewhat hypocritical in a way to put forward the notion that the movie is made for little girls to have heroes to look up to. We always tell people that true beauty and character is on the inside and that is what's important. So why do we make these female ghostbusters so 1-dimensional(ha...

Re: Ghostbusters 2016

Yeah, I saw some of the same things. Some people hated it, but a bunch of people tended to end up saying it was average. Most people did tend to think it was just a cash-grab like most remake/reboots.

I don't know if anyone follows RedLetterMedia, but they put up their Half in the Bag review of it. I enjoy their comedic take on reviewing movies, and often tend to agree with their reviews. Re: Sidewalk Slam Ep9 - June RAWs

So while watching this episode, I decided to look up the MITB ladder intro with all the banter, and I realized that I hardly ever watch any WWE videos outside SWS, so I've never really heard these guys speak and none of their voices sound like what I imagined them to be in my mind.

I work from home and live in a pretty bad neighborhood, so I haven't gone out and caught any other than the starter. I thought you'd get chances to find them in your home, but I've never had one in my circle the 7 or 8 times I've turned it on.

Re: Ghostbusters 2016

I'm not going to see it. if it's on netflix and the reviews say it's average or better, or maybe just from morbid curiosity, I might see it sometime. I was reticent when they announced the remake/reboot/sequel. I didn't really care that it was going to be an all-female cast, although it is a kind of...
