Re: Name that Film!
Falcon's got it, and indeed it is nude Mr Tudyk, which is a small part of what makes that one of the greatest movies of our time (the original not the american remake).

Re: Loading Ready City anybody? (Simcity)
yup, with heroes and villians pack you can actually be encouraged to get crime too, Dr Vu likes it. It's actually really easy to grief, unless they've fixed teh park bug. you can or could visit other cities and just fill the land with parks, couldn't build anything else, but the parks worked for som...

I suppose they do impact though, pollution travels, if it destroys your power plant/water/etc. and you're supplying a neightbour that could cause some problems.

Re: Crusader Kings II (and General Paradox Thread)
Apparently I own about 5 Paradox games. I play a lot of strategy in general, Company of Heroes, pretty much everything total war, Civilization, Sins of a Solar Empire, Mount & Blade, off the top of my head anyway. Maybe I'll just pick up the Paradox company bundle next sale. to get into their mo...

good lord that game is expensive still. I'll have to wait for a steam sale or settle for let's plays, it does look cool though.

So what the hell is the game anyway? is it more Total War? or Patrician? If that's a good enough scale.

Re: Loading Ready City anybody? (Simcity)
Yeah lots of the region stuff is still screwy, I have no control over finances because my buddies department got earthquaked a couple days ago and despite fixing the the server thinks he didn't. I also had to turn off my bus system because it was causing traffic to back up solid through the two citi...

Re: Loading Ready City anybody? (Simcity)
Yeah, the game is fun as hell when it works, but I say we try and give it another few days to a week to start a region up.

Re: Anno Games
I enjoy them but I've never actually made it through a campaign or anything, 2070 has some cool idea's but it's a bit bland.
I was just listening to an episode of Idle Thumbs and found out that all of the titles add up to 9, I had no idea and it blew my mind a bit.

Re: Loading Ready City anybody? (Simcity)
Well multiplayer will be ingrained in the gameplay a lot much like in diablo with the marketplace stuff, if lots of people are mining coal say, prices will plumet for towns buying it etc.
That of course is aside from the region play and such.

Re: Loading Ready City anybody? (Simcity)
I believe it just won't save till you reconnect. Can't be certain though. Even if it is the good way i can see that making the region play aspect pretty much useless. I have pretty much the best internet available in Canada, hooray for ditching big providers.

Loading Ready City anybody? (Simcity)
So the new Simcity is coming out next week, anybody else plan on getting it? While I dislike EA and Origin a good deal, I Love Maxis in almost everything they do. I tried a couple of the beta periods and they where pretty damn fun and the changes seemed pretty smart and sleek. If anybody feels like ...

It's worth the 15-20 dollars for sure, It's a fun game, with decent length and a great heavy metal shtick.

I think we can all agree that Revelations is just a time waster though... I mean at one point you literally have to spy on a florist to find where he gets them so you don't have to pay him... Ooooo stick it to the man old Ezio!

Re: Humble THQ Bundle.
I see this a as a case of people injecting meaning where there is none. The Humble brand has stood for helping raise money for charities, and has done a damn good job of it. Everything else is a bonus. Nobody complained about Amnesia Fortnight, and it's not giving anything but prototype access and a...

Re: Pile of Shame: Assassin's Creed, or Gears of War?
I say play AC, but honestly it holds up way worse than gears does, especially comparing them to the newer games in the series, sure gears 2 and 3 flesh out multi and other aspects a lot more but it's basically the same stuff. AC on the other hand is probably unplayable compared to AC2 Brotherhood an...

Meh I own almost all of them and have already beaten saints row 3, but I'm still giving them my money, I love the CoH games, Metro is a surprisingly atmospheric and interesting game, darksiders is obviously fun. and saints row 3 is one of the best/dumbest/most fun games of the last few years The onl...
