Re: Magicland

A truly brilliant episode. :)

And yes, I definitely echoed "Pillage a village" instinctively. It is a Pavlovian response.

Being a rare appearance in this forum, I thoroughly missed this until there was an ad for it at the end of the latest Zero Punctuation. At which point I'm more or less sitting there, and the ad starts, and I blink and go "Hang on, that sounds like Paul's voice. And that also sounds like Paul's ...

Very nice. I have a friend who does that mispronouncing words thing, to the tune of: Me: Eth-E-re-al. Him: Ether-al. Me: Eth-E-re-al. Him: Yeah, Ether-al. I'd guessed that "god" was her roommate trying to get someone to do major quests with - the actual source was far more entertaining. ;)

Awesome!

And now I have an argument with my roommates. They believe that the 23 PS3s are photoshopped.

Are they real, and if so, where did you borrow them from?

It might be. *grins* Her name used to begin with a Lau, but she lost those letters in the war.

Do You Like Theatre and also live in Victoria? Go see Mute!

Well, I'm usually pretty (read: very) quiet on this forum, but this is something that I feel the need to plug. If you're in Victoria this weekend, and you think you could use a bit of theatre, the Victoria Fringe Festival is just wrapping up. Mute, a play written by Wren Handman, has two shows left:...

Heheh, very entertaining.

I would like to note, though (and I'm surprised that no one mentioned it) that "Worchestershire" is not actually pronounced "Worchestershire".

It's pronounced "wuster-shur".

Which is a pretty manly pronunciation. ;)

The oregon trail reference was amusing - I was sure that Graham was going to give him something to complain about.

A broken arm, maybe. ;)

The actual ending was much more amusing.

Multiple writers doesn't always mean a better skit, though. The Danger of Cigarettes was written by, like, ten people, and it was only okay. I loved Danger of Cigarettes. It's one of the ones I usually use to hook people to the site. ;) Regardless, I thought this one was hilarious - enough so that ...

Brilliant movie! Story guy gets funnier every time (and I have to disagree with Kneuronak, Story Guy is my favorite set of movies).

However, a minor quibble. Pound for pound, the shrew is actually the most vicious animal alive.

I'd say this was the best Antique Street Show sequence (wasn't fond of the one in Episode 2). "Let's say $200." :P

And yeah, I saw the beets joke coming too, and yet still funny.

First, Alliance Atlantis is about ten times more awesome for this part of their promotion. That is official.

And out of curiousity, since it came up more than once, just how hot was it outside?

Are there any plans for more Evil Corp stuff?

Having re-watched the first season videos, I realized how much I miss those guys.

The Sam Raimi: A style of shot, based on Evil Dead, which seems to appear in every Sam Raimi movie as a sort of tribute.
