*pokes head into forums looking for his yearly minecraft fix*
Hi! I've been gone since 1.8ish, and i'm kind of itching to get back on a server with all the friendly faces here. Any chance I could nab an invite once the server is back up, please? MC name should just be Ceiran_ .

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I've been mulling over a plan to turn one of the mountains (relatively) near spawn into a volcano with a wither arena, so that'd cover that amenity, although it'd require some bedrock work to make it safe. I was also thinking about building other PvE arenas into it, if I can figure out a way to do i...

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Myshpoetry, squaredotcube and I have cleared out the stronghold I'd found, so I'm going to create a proper nether-link for the place. Once that's done, we should start looking at an End raid, if Lamb and co. agree?

Re: So that just happened (funny MTG stories)
Holiday cube on no sleep is a bad idea. Spent 15 turns of time-key combo pitching a signet to pack rat and Ruins-ing it back to build up a lethal board presence... And then pass without tapping the time vault. On 9 life. With Progenitus staring me down from the other side of the table, mocking my Ma...

Re: So here's a wacky idea for Desert Bus 9...
Having the bus be remote-controlled by someone outwith the room and not in direct contact seems like it invalidates a large part of the experience. Plus, how do you assure the new viewers you want to attract that there actually is someone driving and its not on autopilot? That seems like it would be...

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk
So I picked up one of the precons to loot for my cube see how they are, and wound up doing a half-assed upgrade with what I had lying around, as evidenced below. Having ran it for a bit in multiplayer, I'm enjoying the grindy token-sac aspects of it, and looking to de-crapify it. Any suggestions? Pr...

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
Having spent the last few weeks trying to undermine UK politics and/or turn my flat into an independent state, I didn't feel there was anything needed said other than the "life happens, all in your own time" thing. However, if it helps, I can make enough internet noise for everyone? Seriou...

There have also been attempts to set fire to the Herald's offices, the herald being probably the most prominent paper to back seperation. https://twitter.com/kitmacdonald/status/513087175047786497 Lets be honest here. This is Glasgow, Scottish home of sectarian violence and also probably the vilest ...

Re: Scottish Independence
It was a 90% turn out to vote apparently, so the result is a fairly accurate representation of what The Scottish people wanted. I'm not sure a binary choice referendum like this can truly be called a "fairly accurate representation" when it was won by a 10% majority, and over 1/3 of the i...

I thought Ocean temples didn't generate if anyone spent a certain amount of time in any of the chunks? Not that I'm complaining about culling chunks, gimme those sweet sweet new blocks.

That'd be me to the north. Memo and I have spent a bit of time rebuilding the beaches between my build and the fortress, and when I have time I'll light it properly as a lovely scenic path if you're okay with that, Kool.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
The disorganised tree farm may have been me, I'm not sure. I farmed a whole bunch of spruce out of it a wee while back and didn't know there were designated zones, so I just replanted with what I had on me at the time iirc. Sorry. Edit: I have no idea about replanting the farm from empty ov...

I like the worldknit/agent/lore seeker plan, but it needs some work.
On a somewhat related note, tournament packs were essentially just fat boosters... right?

Also, I'd find it interesting to hear how other people fare with the hue test, whether any "normal"-sighted people have problems with such fine graduations of colour. (If your monitor isn't properly calibrated this might be difficult.)

Re: Color-blindness
I've known I was colour deficient since I was about 4, but it's only fairly recently that anyone's been able to help pinpoint the exact nature of it, and to be honest I still struggle to make sense of the categorisations. I was sent to the local uni's optometry department by my optician, subjected t...

I've just pulled a few cards out of my Vorel and Shattergang lists that might be of use here; -The kamigawa Hondens (Life's web, Night's reach and Cleansing fire) The green one on it's own will give you a Spirit token every turn, the discard from the black one can be relevant and the white one just ...
