Re: LRRcast for 2014-05-23

Here's a quick and easy way to set levels and compress the audio a bit. http://web.archive.org/web/20130729204551id_/http://www.conversationsnetwork.org/levelator/ It's not being actively maintained anymore, but it's free and it works well. It's worth giving a shot, if only for the fact that it's co...

Re: MAGFest

Hurray! I got my ticket today. To borrow a Desert Bus meme, I am very appoint. I second the motion to have a LRR meet-up. We should be able to squeeze in an hour or so between panels or at the end of one of the days. I'm already resigned to the idea that events like this are intended—nay, obligated—...

Re: Job Security

Did anyone else think about Reboot - the animated series - after watching this? The whole set up of the personal lives of in-game adversarial sprites is exactly what you see in most episodes where there's a game cube comes down. I'm not knocking the video or calling plagiarism, I'm just noticing a s...

Re: Sigma Theta Delta

Tally: "Dude, just because I'm all nice and stuff doesn't mean I don't know how to have some FUN. I mean, Jeremy and I stay in most nights, but we're never bored." No, I know. It's the oldest cliche in the book, "the preacher's daughter," etc. I don't think you're really a prude...

Re: Sigma Theta Delta

If I had to imagine one LRR crew member enacting a sex scene, Tally would be the absolute last one I'd pick. Congratulations on otherwise maintaining a sparkling imagine of crystalline purity. I can't help but be reminded of a quotation of Jer's in Matt Gets His Grove: "And then I realized ther...

Re: Every OS Sucks

I just read five pages of comments from the Escapist forums and a page of comments here and everyone has missed the most important detail. Paul. You wrote the video adaptation for this so you tell everyone. This is just the OS-tans warmed over, isn't it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OS-tan Not that ...

Re: First Draft Iron Man Trailer

Only now is the truth revealed. Iron Man himself prefers cardboard.

According to Applegeeks, at least. Which is as good as the real thing in my books.

Re: Trapped

Thanks, Lord Chrusher. My camcorder feels emasculated now, but at least I'm the wiser.

I just now realized that Zombaholic has a point. There is a two-minute-and-forty-second continuous shot right at the end. That's a damn long shot and a lot of interaction. Makes you wonder how many takes that took.

Re: Trapped

@Jerr: I love how you wrote yourself into the part that required learning the fewest number of lines (except maybe for Taly). You knew what you were doing when you wrote this one, didn't you? [insert wink here] Great vid. It's fitting that it ties in with Son of a Bitch, one of the best videos yet. ...

Re: Killer Instinct

No sooner had I got past the first few jokes in this video when I started saying to myself, "This sketch is distinctly Canadian." While there is a little British humour influence, it's definitely come out in a Canadian way. There's something about a major plot point in which its assumed th...
