Re: LRRcast - Summer Anime Recap
After listening to the podcast, I went and watched Inferno Cop. I have no idea what I just watched, but whatever it was, I'm pretty sure it was awesome. I have seen Moribito. Really enjoyed that series when it came out. Netflix has a decent selection of anime so I'm glad that one has also made it to...

Re: TTC 95 - Mailbag
Odyssey was actually perfectly normal, color-wise; it was only Torment and Judgment that were odd. Torment had more black cards and less white/green ones, while Judgment was the reverse. Red/blue were at ordinary levels for all 3 sets in the block. As you might expect, Odyssey block was a weird one ...

Re: Heather's Handhelds
As the last stream ended with Heather quite close to being able to recruit children characters, I thought I might explain a bit more about how that works. Recruiting children characters isn't at all necessary to beat the game, but it's fun, as you can end up with some pretty crazy super-soldiers by ...

Re: Heather's Handhelds
While doing the polls by going down the list of females probably would make the most sense, it shouldn't make too much of a difference either way. Given that Hodor is being paired with Chrom (there are some characters that can only marry the avatar), I count 13 marriageable males and 12 marriageable...

Re: The Game Venting Thread
As for Pokémon, the problem is I'm not doing it to be competitive. I'm doing it because my brain says I have to. I occasionally have problems similar to what you've described. One thing that can help is to set rules for yourself. That way, rather than feeling obligated to grind, you feel obligated ...

Man, as someone who started playing around the time Urza's Destiny came out, that crack a pack was quite the nostalgia trip for me. Goliath Beetle, Yavimaya Enchantress, and Taunting Elf were all cards that were in my first couple of decks. Re: Urza's Destiny power -- You have to remember that creat...

Re: Crafting with Skeletons
Decorating with human bones, you say? Ever heard of the Capuchin Crypt in Rome? It's actually pretty freaking awesome; they used literally every kind of human bone. One of the rooms, for example, has butterfly designs made of two pelvises and a skull, and a lot of the more basic designs are made fro...

Re: The House of Stark
Fire: Goes to +10. Requires a Normal+5 weapon to enter the path and Large Flame Ember to go past +5. This path adds more Fire elemental damage to weapons. Chaos: Goes to +5. Requires a Fire+5 weapon and the Chaos Flame Ember to enter. This one is a strange path, as it adds Fire damage based on how ...

Re: IDDQDerp
You can learn what poise means by changing the number with different armor and observing how gameplay changes. It is also helpful that the word literally means balance. Stat scaling is learned by watching the damage change as you level, as well as remembering what the stat descriptions said. I can ...

Re: IDDQDerp
Okay, I swear I'm not gonna totally co-opt this thread, but I gotta mention this: Someone in the chat advised that 'everything is explained in the Demons Souls manual', and - for the most part - that's correct. For the record, I was the one who said that, and I actually totally agree with you that ...
