Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
Got to do my first fandraft of the new format. 3-0 6-0 with RG. http://i.imgur.com/i6bUDLO.png?1 Deathmist Raptor is sweet, Temur Battle Rage is one of the best draws in this deck, and Atarka Efreet is the best efreet. Interestingly, my first two matches were against Bant, with Hosk on G/W splashing...

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
So, I typed up a big long write-up of my draft and games, but it got eaten by website weirdness so I'll sum it up:
Joraga Treespeaker is a house.
Rise is a lot of fun.
Eldrazi Conscription on Pelakka Wurm is a savage beating.
3-0 RG Ramp

Re: TTC - Fate Reforged Spoliers Ep.2
Some other fun targets to recur with Alesha include Mardu Heart-Piercer, War-Name Aspirant and Ponyback Brigade from Khans, and Battle Brawler, Elite Scaleguard, and Daghatar from Fate. And these are just in Mardu colors.

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
Lost to Hascow in the finals with this deck. *grumblegrumbleSarkhangrumble*
It was a pretty sick deck, but it was a pretty sick pool. Jondare's deck in Rd1 was pretty gross, too. I didn't see enough of Memo's to really comment.

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
First picked an Ivorytusk Fortress in a weak pack and forced Abzan . Played Schmuckofalltrades in round 1 who had a better Abzan deck. Then played Arakasi and Korvys in the next two rounds who were both Mardu, and sucked the blood out of them to end both matches. Round 3 was particularly interesting...

It's possible I'm too risk averse during the draft. It's done right by me so far, though, so I'm going to stick with it. But, as always, feel free to disregard everything I say.

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
I respectfully disagree. I think this is a very easy set to get "hooked" in draft. I try to stay in one or two colors, preferably enemy pairs, for as long as possible so if I see a powerful 3-color spell later on I will be more likely to play it. Picking a clan early and going in whole hog...

http://imgur.com/a/42hN7 Today's adventure: Valuetown, USA. Opened Delta in pack 1 and Sorin in Pack 2. Got passed the first Dig because Karnasis had PC issues, but then in Pack 2 got passed another at 7th pick? Deck played really well, and was able to fight through most mana issues, but zerragonos/...

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
1-1 then had a game of magic against Phlip round three that was too awesome for MTGO to handle. At least that's what I assume happened before it crashed and burned. Kind of a bummer. :(
Anyway, I *may* have gotten a bit greedy.

I don't even know anymore. I thought they said that M15 *wouldn't* be phantom, implying that previous events were. Now I don't know what even.

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
Okay, my bad then. I'm on board with sealed if it's not phantom, I suppose. They must have changed their policy, because when they gave away the M15 pre-release they specifically noted that it wouldn't be phantom. I still don't think it's very good value, but good enough.

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
I would like to go on record that I am in favor of doing draft rather than sealed for 3 reasons: 1. The sealed is $25 as opposed to $15 for draft. 2. Sealed is phantom, so you don't even get to keep the cards, making sealed even worse value. Even if you go undefeated in friendly sealed, you still ca...

1-2 with some fun cards.
Karnasis probably had the better G/W deck, but I managed to answer his threats round 1. Rounds 2 and 3 were less kind.
Didn't board into the 5 color set, but the way it's been going for me lately, maybe I should have.

Cam really killed it in this one.
Also, that hat could have easily come from the early 90s. I have an iridescent purple hat from the early 90s. It is gaudy, to say the least.

Finally didn't draft black! 2-1, deck played really well through the first 2 rounds, then ground to a bit of a halt in r3. Can't draw like a champ every game, I suppose. Although, I'd really like to.

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
Yeah, I'm not sure if it's the right choice, but it is the fun choice. You wouldn't need 2 verdant havens for that splash, though. 1 and a swamp for 1 pip seems fine. 2 swamps and a haven for stab wound and the vampire.

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
That's rough, Under_Score. Seems like a pretty good deck. Maybe a little light on top end. I would have seriously considered splashing the vampire and stab wound, but that's me.

3-0 despite some iffy moments against Hosk and Karnasis. Got milled out one game in R2, so that's where your mind sculpts went, Hosk. Turns out Jorbai Murk-Lurker + Shadowcloak Vampire/Necrogen Scudder is Realgud™. Also Master of Predicaments is a fun card.
