Anyone want to examine my ethics?
Ok, a bit weird, but what follows is random ramblings on my attempt to find a universal ethical principle. Been thinking about this stuff a long time, kinda needed to finally get it down. (This isn't preaching everyone should follow this either. More I just want to get my ideas out there/feedback et...

Re: Doctor Who
oh, your right yes. He mentions "dark things", so that would make sense. -- Sherlock might be better with a little break. I did actually enjoy the 2nd episode the best last season (the one Moffat wrote), but its fair to say the show struggles to "be clever". Jonathan Creak had a ...

I think he is helping out with the Hollywood version of Jekyll next. Not really sure it will work so well as a film, but I got my fingers crossed.

Moffat wrote a little farewell message to who;

I think the Capaldi moments he lists there are pretty much my favorites too.

I also thought Smith did pretty good at old - and weirdly, Capaldi at being young.

Re: Doctor Who
I'm pessimistic....that way I am not disappointing :P Cyberwoman and Power of Three both were pretty darn terrible, so if I expect that quality from the new writer again then it should all be a pleasant surprise right? :P -- "and he was able to do things like the Zygon speech, which turned a pr...

Re: Doctor Who
Ironically, I found this last season the worst. No standout awful episodes, but everything a little too straightforward. Very oldschool, which is absolutely fine for a change, but a whole season of monster-of-the-week it felt like. Nothing as powerful/character based as, say, Heaven Sent or Listen. ...

Overall pretty darn good imho. SG1 used the same concept at one point, incidentally.

Re: Doctor Who
Yes Id agree with that. Its a mostly different feel to the last few seasons.
That said, for a 3 parter (sort of) the last epp indeed resolved way too easy.

Re: Rejecting the Paris Agreement, the United States joins Syria and Nicaragua
Once again "gut instincts" Trump science. Co2 reflects heat. More Co2 released = hotter planet (on average). Why is this so hard for some to accept? It doesn't matter if the exact details of how exactly bad it will be cant be worked out well. Unless their was proof it didn't cause a proble...

Re: Doctor Who
I think on reflection my main issue with that epp was;
That scientists barely reacted to her friend melting.
Sure, death is hardly dwelled on in Who, but that seemed particularly callous.

I heard good things about Rick and Morty, but when I tried the first epp it just seemed like a bttf riff filled with crude humour :-/ Maybe it gets better. == MS3TK - S11 Never saw the original (gasp!), but seen a lot of webshows taking inspiration. Re: Television We're Watching Now
Agents of Shield is very good. Must admit, I wasn't a huge fan the first half of the first season, and I thought season 3 was pretty spotty too in its second half, but I'm really enjoying the current season. Oh , yes, the show swings up and down rapidly in quality. Its all over the place. When its ...

I think at the mo my most enjoyed shows are iZombie and Agents of Shield (which despite using a hack-eyed 'matrix'esq plot has actually got really good.)

Good enough for a fresh start episode, although I think I preferred 11th Hour. I liked it. I'm still confused by the first twenty-five seconds, though. Are we supposed to infer that Nardole is an android? Perhaps a cyborg? I confess I'm vague on why he's no longer one of the king's spare heads. Pret...

Re: Politics and the Vague Fear of Something Called Donald Trump
Advertisers have been selling ""lifestyles"" for awhile as one of their standard moves. I dont think selling the lifestyle of resistance would be bad if Pepsi themselves were standing for something while doing so. But they arnt. Its all generic. And at a time when there is a huge...
