Since a lot of this is improvised story, I would lean toward the shorter form style that is used with improv. Multiple teams means more variety, which means you can find what works and doesn't faster.
Your format is totally fine, I'm just proposing a way to push the idea further.

Re: Alex's Stream Shelter? Safe Spaces? Echo Chambers? DISCU
I gotcha, random is definitely the easiest way to go.
Favoritism can be mechanically eliminated by having something like fatigue or max missions. Also shorter and diverse missions should give more people a shot at doing something.
It's not a perfect idea, but it has some interesting potential

Re: Alex's Stream Shelter? Safe Spaces? Echo Chambers? DISCU
Here's a random idea that just popped into my head for d&d stream with chat interactions: imagine the organization of the xcom games(not setting), where the is base management and high brass style decision making on one hand and the on the ground combat on the other. Chat could perform like you ...

Coming in from the side lines to give input: I agree with Psyclone that Wraith's conduct was very poor, and not as constructive towards discussion as I would like. And essay long posts make for longer and more incoherent posts down the line as people try and respond to each bit. I don't agree with b...

I'm working on an WURG enchantment deck for the new 2016 commander. Best couple <3 http://decks.deckedbuilder.com/d/253132 I'm not very good at ratios, so I'm not sure how many ramp, wrath or rock effects in. Preferably I would use cards that come with 2016 WURG deck. Any thoughts on how to tool thi...

Re: Fan Draft Revival
I have had no negative experiences with cockatrice, as long it has a voice chat along side it. It's very simplistic but no that hard to use IMO. I would venture exploring the free options because it would allow more people to join with out a buy in. 20$ just to try it is steep, and you are left with...

I vote we go for the entire thing being free.
Cockatrice for play: https://cockatrice.github.io/
TappedOut for drafting: http://tappedout.net/mtg-draft-simulator/
mtgen for sealed: http://mtgen.net/
Why spend money?

Re: Loading Ready Fan Draft.
I have played with cockatrice for a few years with friends. It is just kitchen table magic, as Antitonic says, such that it requires voice chat to run smoothly(in my opinion). It's free and super easy and could be a good solution when paired with an online draft tool like tappedOut.net The argument ...

Kingdom Building Looking for DMs and players(Pfinder/other)
Hey guys and gals, My play group has been off the d&d for awhile now and we are looking to get back into some d&d. Some of you may recognize Caleb_QDC and emberBecky from LRR chat. We were thinking about play by post initially just because of scheduling, but a internet session is an option. ...

Alright folks, lets necro this thread. All of y'all seemed like the good sort for some digital magic or discussion and I'd like to get another roto draft/rochester/whatever thing going.

The most self referential mechanic is split second, so this format should include it.

Re: Sorceror
I think this is cute but the banned list could get huge. Wizard's never considered always having access to any spells when designing them. While this format seems great for my favourite card, Epic Experiment, I think this format would devolve into spikey combos or a blue mage tea party.

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread
You bring however many you have with checklists, but you only ever need two of them for actually playing with, because they're both Legendary and Planeswalkers, which are "one-in-play" things. Therefore, the only way to get two out is to flip the first one and play the second. You could p...

Re: Some thoughts about Planeswalkers
I agree with jokke about the colours, the guilds are only really on Ravnica(Ral Zarek bumps around the multiverse). I like using Tibalt in EDH, he's a cheap draw engine and he isn't often targeted. I love Venser and Teferi but we won't be seeing more of either of them unless Sarkahn wants to go mess...

Re: Standard Discussion
In a vacuum I've found expedite to be much less useful than defiant strike. Strike combos equally well with Zada, since it is almost a second slip.
If you are looking to do more of a card draw combo deck with zada, expedite serves just as well. My build is an aggro prowess deck.
