Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
Over the holidays, I completely forgot we were doing the sealed league, and it has just occurred to me that I missed the last round. Sorry to my erstwhile opponent about the missed games!

Could Goblin Dark-Dwellers be used to fire Ancestral Vision? Is there a chance to see RUG Shardless be a thing?

IT FINALLY HAPPENED! Seriously, the fact that my record was somehow still perfect this far into the league felt a bit blasphemous. Here, though, Breaker of Armies well and truly broke my armies, and I died a bit. Shame about the mana in game 2, but... eh, magic.

Classic Eldrazi v Allies matchup... sorta. I guess the Eldrazi were waking the land to beat up the Allies, so that doesn't work quite so well. Perhaps the Eldrazi secretly have some roilmages?

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
Surviving at 1 life, staring down ulamog, and just getting there with a flier in game 2, then going to 1 life and slab-hammering a windrider in game 3. Yeah... close sums those games up pretty well. Nice stuff, man.

Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
I doubt it'll be good enough for standard, but in Magic Duels, small combos like Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim plus From Beyond could make for a very sweet part of an Abzan control deck. I'm quite excited to see how hard it is to meet the "starting life + 10" clause, and already thinking about Ret...

That second game was absurd. Slab Hammer + Skyline Cascade forcing a chump block every turn for 6 turns, and you still churned out so much value that he only got in because of a topdeck skitterskin.

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
1. 9 rounds sounds good, but perhaps not if it would push us too far into Oath of the Gatewatch without new cards to play with. I suppose that depends on release dates, which I'm not aware of yet. 2. I'm okay with being able to make them up, as long as it isn't too much of an administrative issue. P...

Close games that would've been significantly less close had you drawn swarm surge at an opportune moment, and I love that game 2 game down to a "1 is not 0" moment.

As you always want in league, we had a good slug fest. I managed to ingest or otherwise exile a few too many bombs, and that was that. Good fight, man.

The games themselves were quite close, but I always managed to have a last minute burn spell to toss to the dome. GGs just the same.

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
My own vote goes toward the 6-pack Origins reset plan, ideally with a coordinated sealed pre-release thing, and I further recommend we get a strawpoll going so it becomes easier to see how people feel. Perhaps we should collate a few more possible suggestions first, but after we've given people some...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
I feel like I'd be happiest with a complete reset of Origins stuff, then probably another when BFZ comes out, with the future option of adding stuff to the Zendikar packs as smaller sets come out. My thought is basically "I want to play an mtgo prerelease sealed, and using those packs for more ...

Re: Magic Origins Pre-release. How'd you do?
I went to two events: one on the midnight of release, and the second which ended just an hour or so ago. Went with Green both times, and did much better than I expected to do. First event saw me play a G/B deck whose only rare was Avenger of Zendikar, but which had enough uncommon and common value t...

That third game was utterly bizarre. I doubt many games feature one player gaining and losing 8 life per turn that many turns in a row without a conclusive ending.

Official games saw me trounced without mana, so I thank you for playing an unrecorded game after to let my deck actually function.

Those were some of the most aggressive sealed games I've ever played. Well done, man, your deck is frightening.

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
My computer seems to have recovered somewhat from its previous "crash and refuse to reboot" state, and I think I've worked out most of what makes it crash. I don't know yet if I'll be able to keep it working throughout matches, but I'd like to at least try to participate during our second ...

My computer has just had a massive meltdown, and there is no way I can get it repaired in the foreseeable future. If I manage to pull extra cash together somehow and get it repaired, I'll just ask to be put back in for the second season, but I think I have to drop for now. We haven't played our matc...

This sounds like great fun, and I'm eager to help test this cube whenever that opportunity comes. If drafting methods are a concern, you might want to take a look at the method used by the LRcube (which seems to have stopped running of late, boo). They used http://drafts.in/ for the drafting itself,...

There wasn't a match between us, because we couldn't ever meet. I actually haven't heard from Zarbit at all during the time we were matched.
