Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
Yeah, more informal stuff sounds good. With new blocks, I can just post a pool with a sealed deck I played in a league anyway. With 2nd sets, I hate just cracking packs for a cards I'd only get to use in a couple matches. I am intrigued about commander online. I should try and put something together.

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
AdmiralMemo 0-2 SaloAbraxas Game 1: I curved into an Aerial Responder and Fleetwheel Cruiser, which helped me win a race against a Renegade Freighter being boosted by a Chief of the Foundry. Game 2: Luck just was not with Memo. I mulled to 6, cast Chandra on curve, and got her emblem on turn 7. Mem...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
SaloAbraxas 2-1 DeathNDecay Game 1: Autopilot car did a lot of damage before my flame-haired friend came down to deal the last 2 damage. Game 2: I was getting trounced and had to cast Chandra just to kill my own confiscated dwarf. Then DND made the choice not to mill me out, instead favoring to sup...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
SaloAbraxas 2-1 Artirian_Legacy Game 1 I left myself dead on board when I had a clear out. Game 2 was a flavorful Dovin vs Chandra battle, and the fire mage burned out the bureaucrat. Game 3 Artirian_Legacy made the controversial choice of never drawing a 4th land, while I took the much more sound ...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
Well, hopefully we get enough people involved.
I've decided to run back my strategy of mediocre playing but opening planeswalkers.

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
Aww. Looks like Salo's big splashy mythics won out against my more consistent aggro deck. I will win one of these sealed leagues one day! Interestingly, I don't really think of the deck as being driven by big splashy mythics. I think this was more synergy driven. Out of 9 packs, I only ran 1 mythic...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
DeathNDecay 0-2 SaloAbraxas Game 1 DeathNDecay was mana screwed pretty badly, and has I had a hand with a lot of answers that stopped them from being able to get anything going. Game 2 was closer. I had a Nahiri die early on to help me stabilize the board. I flipped a Thing in the Ice just to have ...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
AdmiralMemo 1-2 SaloAbraxas So game 1 Memo 4-for-1ed me. The game ended shortly thereafter and not in my favor. Game 2 a Nahiri and Awoken Horror managed to carry the day, though it was pretty close at the end. Game 3 started out pretty evenly with us both drawing a lot of removal and clearing the ...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
DeathNDecay [0-2] SaloAbraxas Both games were pretty similar. I fall behind early. Nahiri helps me stabilize and get card advantage. I nearly get milled out, but that just increases the number of zombies I get with Rise from the Tides. I can't tell if I've been particularly lucky or if my deck is m...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
Antitonic [0-2] SaloAbraxas Game 1 was an interesting one. I started off a little slow, but stabilized and generated a lot of card advantage to get the win. Bonus: Story-appropriate planeswalker duel! Game 2 was...well, it was. Antitonic had to mull to 3 and never got to cast a spell. Here's to bet...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
SaloAbraxas [2-1] Zarbit Game 1 I managed the incredible feat of losing a game after both resolving a planeswalker and flipping a Thing in the Ice. Game 2 I had a fast start and won just before it looked like I was going to be in a lot of trouble. Game 3 was just my deck working at full capacity to...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
AdmiralMemo [0-2] SaloAbraxas Game 1 was a slow start from me, but I managed to stabilize with a bunch of removal and eventually dig to some creatures to ping away for a win while Memo was stuck drawing lands and unhelpful tricks. Game 2 was a good race that I managed to win with exactsies just bef...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
I'll be traveling the later part of next week, so I'm only free Monday and Tuesday. But I'm free practically all day those days. I'd prefer not to burn the bye in case a bigger conflict comes up in the next several weeks (or if someone else really needs it next week). But if anyone can't do Monday a...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
SaloAbraxas [2-0] KeiranLC Game 1 I was able to stabilize after a fast start from KeiranLC. Then I spent 18 turns rummaging through every land in my library until I managed to find a win. We then paused to watch LRR pull off a victory with their mono-hat singleton brew in CSL, and to reset our dang...

I'm not sure I ever figured out the proper way to build it, but I found a really fun build with a Magical Christmasland dream scenario.
MTGO name is also SaloAbraxas.
I'm on Pacific Time (UTC-7)

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
As far as sponsoring people goes, would it be kosher to enter a league, screen shot the cards, play the matches, then loan all the cards to someone looking to play? if you chose to help someone out, that is between you and them, so I don't care how you chose to go about it....just as long as the po...

AdmiralMemo 1 - 2 SaloAbraxas Game 1 I had a nice draw with some flyers and removal that allowed me to win a close race. Game 2 all my removal was in the top half of my library and all my creatures were in the bottom half, and well, apparently you need creatures at some point if you don't want to l...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
Omega Lairon 0 - 2 SaloAbraxas Those were some games. Some early removal and ally synergy had me on the ropes at the beginning of game 2. But I survived long enough for some bombs and endless graveyard recursion to save me. Emeria Shepherd continues to be a good card. These second phase games are i...
