Re: Fight the Future 04 - The Giver

I had to read The Giver in middle school and there was one thing about the job assignments that I've never gotten over. Some of the girls are assigned to be breeders, and they give birth to 3 children in 3 years, then switch to manual labor because mothers are obviously good for nothing else. Assumi...

Re: Magnum Rewatch Ep15 - The Black Orchid

During the first season of Magnum, Michael Bay was 15 years old and interning for George Lucas on Raiders. Not sure where that puts all of us on the failure scale, but it can't be good.

Re: Fight the Future 01 - Divergent

I had trouble telling Paul and Dan's voices apart when they were streaming Mario, and at least then I could see them talking. If main character didn't test for the factions representing peace and honesty, that obviously makes her a violent liar. Boxing research has mixed results over whether bareknu...

Re: Magnum Rewatch Ep09 - Lest We Forget

Don't know if any of your audio set up changed, but Kaitlin was noticeably louder than Grant.

Also, Miguel Ferrer and George Clooney are cousins.

Re: Magnum Rewatch Ep08 - Missing in Action

The remote viewing part, even though it doesn't actually work, has a factual basis. The DIA ran the Stargate Project in the 70s and 80s to investigate military applications of psychic phemomena. It started, of course, because they believed the Soviets were doing the same thing and we can't allow an ...

Re: Crossing the Streams

I would like to see #IDARB. I've seen 6-8 player games with no audience interaction, and 2 player games with chat hashbombing (including Matt and Andrew), but I've never seen an 8 player game on Twitch. Even 4 players, if that's what you're set up for, would be an appropriate level of insanity for C...

Re: LRRDraft #47: Theros Rare Draft

I would suggest for rare drafts removing the uncommon rule and forcing five color green in formats where it works. Hopefully you can get enough fixing that you won't get to cut any rares.

Re: The True Meaning of Boxing Day

With the arrival of Capitalism, the Cult of Boxidus was subsumed by celebrations of the Order of Brothers of the Saint Nicholas' House of Deal. Also known as the Black Fridaeans, the order is famous for their strict vow of bargaining and have combined their annual festival with the Distributed Order...

I believe the make up trick you were talking about in the Loading Time was actually from the 1931 Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde for his transformation.

I was a little late in listening to this one, but I just wanted to point out that Hu is from Taiwan, not Hong Kong.

If you'd like to keep your starter around, but not have to feed or bake with it frequently, it can be refrigerated to slow the yeast's metabolism. Glass or ceramic containers are the best options for storage, but non-reactive metal works fine. I've been keeping my starter in a stainless steel canist...
