Re: Red Dwarf X
The hologram isn't brain in a new body it's a computer simulation of that person so a new hologram would have all the memories up until that point.

Re: Red Dwarf X
I misread the synopsis and disappointed myself for a while but had a massive grin with "the slimes coming home". "Hiding in an Asteroid, surrounded by a Simulant Death Ship and a fleet of Annihilators, the Dwarfers begin to wonder whether this is the beginning of the end. Only one man...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread
That's basicly what I wanted to hear but didn't expect to be even plausible after the last outcome were the girl recoiled in fear. Her not even beginning to consider me that way makes sense with how she's been doubly so with us only being back in the same town a few months. Very cautious about being...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread
Okay this is probably a strange way to stop lurking so much but need to run some stuff by level heads. I rather fancy a friend of mine been friends with this person for eight years so fucking things up would be very bad. We have both liked each other in the past (4ish years ago if it's relevant) and...

Re: FTL: Faster Than Light
May attempt a desert bus though what would be layout B? the main bottleneck is lack of art, even a colouring person would speed things up. Once we have the art it's a case of planning a room layout then punching in numbers and coordinates. FTL isn't that complex in how it works.

Any BSG fans here? and/or any space sim fans?
BSG Diaspora a BSG game that nails the feel of the universe and hence a unique feeling space sim. Since it's all guns missiles and nukes instead of lasers and shields and the physics while not newtonian is closer than most things (they lifted the rules from the show) It's built on the FS2open engine...

It is both awesome and so bad its good. What summed up the film to me was what my friend said while watching it.
So he's doing die hard in a nazi moon base.
Also
The MIR packing a giant beam cannon is a kind of awesome I didn't know existed.

I'm from the north of England where we live on Pies, beer and strong tea. Even I'm confused and maybe a little curious about how you came up with half of that stuff.
Also do you get mushy pea fritters up there cant find them south of the river Dee, Wales I do not approve.

Yeah the end kinda got to me Massive spoilers Sheppard dying seemed a given haven't seen all three ends but I did like how the reapers are never really defeated fits the cosmicism from ME1 Should have ended with an epilogue with joker and the surviving squad instead of just cutting off after the...

I saw this the other week in a topic about train simulators (got diverted there from OpenTTD) it got posted after a few us started mildly trolling, i posted it on G+ but came a cross it again today it's the most inexplicably hilarious terrible thing I've seen in a long time. http://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: Athens Is In Flames
The main problem with the euro and why a Greek exit wont be allowed is that it was never an economic project its a political project to bring further European integration. This is why they were allowed in despite not being remotely close to suitable because it served the European project but that ap...

Their claim is worse than that France and Spain have more claim to the islands than Argentina does. I quite like this image puts it all in perspective. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/df/Falklands.permanence.png Calls for negotiations irritate me especially from the US, unless there ...

yeah though I think the acronym for UTC, UST ect can just be UT works in more languages and on more standards. It also sets it apart from all the three letter acronyms of country specific timezones

Re: Oh Those Lovely Timezones
time zones are useful but DST isn't. If everyone listed their time zone are UT+/- X it would be verry usefull basicly collapse the GMT acronym into Universal standard Time or UT then just + or - a number instead of EST central time mountain time ect. This plus the abolition of DST would make it all ...
