Getting the part in the play you auditioned for is win. It's even more win when you get to act like Wes Borg in Fit to Print. Oh yeah.

Re: King Kool's Distracted Movie Reviews! Pixar's Cars!
On the subject of movie reviews, did anybody see this week's Escape to the Movies for The King's Speech? http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/ ... ngs-Speech I thought it was an appalling "review". This Movie Bob guy seemed angry at this movie for some reason, so he constructed a snarky...

Re: Venting Thread Beta
While not horrible, yet mildly irritating, the school pushed back the Febuary dance a week. Now I have to re-schedulle the Shadowrun game I had planned. What bad luck, I guess.

Re: AMAZING, Lasting Children's and Young Adult's Books
What, no Deltora Quest? Anyone ever read them? Yes. So very much yes. When I was little, I read those one a day, and did nothing else because I liked them so much. But other than that, the Dark Is Rising books were always good, and seemed to be aimed at younger audiences. Also, Lloyd Alexander's Ch...

If anyone plays Exalted, I could use some help.
I'm having a hard time understanding how damage is calculated in that game.
Anyone know?

Re: So, How Was Your Day?
Today seemed to be good. Classes were fun, lunch was good, etc. Also of note, it was raining constantly and heavily today. So class is going good and in my Creative Writing class, we get an announcement that the students will be let out at 2 o' clock. Everyone cheers. However, after I get home, prac...

Re: The Dream Thread
I had a dream the other night that I was at a college I was planning on going to for a competition or something. I'm there practicing, and soon enough I realized I had forgotten something in the car. So I go out a check. Turns out a bomb had gone off and the car was just a crater with scrap scattere...

The Happy Thoughts Thread
There's a venting thread, but I hadn't found a thread like this. Basically, this thread is here for when you have something good happens to you. Sometimes, it's just good to say "Yeah! Not everything is horrible!" It could something as simple as finding a coin on the ground to something as...

My friends and I would sometimes refer to each other with Greek letters. I was chosen to be Delta. And when I'm online I usually use a prefix that changes based on that site I'm on.

See, it doesn't strike me as horror. Yes, the universe is beyond our current comprehension, and yes, for our own benefit we should cultivate a greater understanding and capacity for understanding. But how is that horror? Granted, I'm arguably a lot less sane than I used to be, given the things I've...

Gordon Fearman is protests risky behavior. The look on his face, combined with one arm behind his head seems to say "Guys, this really isn't a good idea." He is the cautious one, making sure everyone knows the risk is real.

I've wondered from time to time what it would be like to famous and such, but after thinking about it, I can't say it would be for me. In all honesty...
