That's probably the second weirdest version of narcissism I've ever heard of- falling in love with a version of yourself that's the opposite gender!
I've had no comments whatsoever on my gender-bent avatar, and I think he's kinda cool, so he'll be sticking around for a good long while

Re: Ways to Wake Someone Up
Always happy to see a new X ways to Y video, and this one didn't disappoint me. Loved the return of the 'Daddy's got you'! As a one-time recipient of a house invasion in the style of The SWAT, that made me laugh with memories. And major kudos to Paul for being able to put up with all that! Consummat...

As a lover of the classics, I would be overjoyed to hear some Wilde. Picture of Dorian Gray is one of my favourite books in the world.

I'd replace 'incriminating' with 'clever'! So weird hearing that read aloud, and NOT in my own accent!
You also get major bonus points for the added '...in England'. Highly impressed, sir. Highly impressed

No specific thing comes to mind, actually... Maybe a section with an interaction between two different characters, as we tend to read these with different inflections naturally anyway.

Re: Penny Arcade DnD Podcast, Series 4. Episode 5 and 6
Slowly working my way through the first few series, but I gotta thank you guys for putting me on to this/helping me get back into D&D. Now I just gotta hope that there is still a D&D group running when I get back to university in September. Though I haven't listened to it yet, but the 'Ep7' ...

Hitchhiker's Guide would get you bonus points befor you even start. I love that series of books. Actually, everything I've received so far has been really interesting to listen to! Two of my other favourite books have had extracts read to me in different accents, and there are already a fair amount ...

Re: What TV Shows Did You Watch at Childhood Not of Your Time
My dad is a big sci-fi fan so I was raised on classic Doctor Who (he got my name from one of the Doctor's companions), Star Trek and the like. I loved Fireball XL5, Captain Scarlet, Stingray, The Avengers, Buck Rogers, The Prisoner. I think I actually watched more series from before my time than stu...

That is awesome! I remember finding a similar place before but they didn't have the accent I was after (South African, I believe). Thank you for that, should be very very useful!

Re: This is a thread for venting.
Thanks guys. I actually got both my knee and shoulder injuries in the Asian tsunami a few years back. I was on a beach in southern Sri Lanka and my knee ended up having an argument with a 4foot concrete post that was twisting my leg the wrong way. In better news, I've managed to get an appointment t...

Harley and the Joker are my favourite Batman double-act, got so many layers to their relationship. I think I actually have a recording of me doing a couple of her lines from Arkham Asylum... If you ever do decide to do 'some kind of audio story', I would love to hear it. I always love reading/watchi...

I hate the phrase 'psychosematic'. To the NHS consultant who told me my knee injury was 'purely psychosematic'- SCREW YOU! Five and a half years after receiving the injury and it STILL reduces me to tears every few months? Oh yeah, that's just my messed up mind, of course. It took you a year and a h...

Re: Vocal Library Project- your help needed!
I'm only amateur at the moment, but I must be doing something right because I've had a lot of positive feedback. I've done mostly original amateur audio dramas, one Doctor Who fan drama and voiced Golden Axe character Tyris Flare for a Baldurs Gate mod. If you Google 'Kung Fu Action Theatre' I'm in ...

Your voice is safe with me :D Ironically, I HATE hearing my own voice on recordings. That is probably my second worst failing as a voice actor. The first being th...

If I can figure out how to record easily (I've never had reason to before) prepare yourself for a Philly/eastern PA accent. I've actually been asked if I can do that kind of accent before, and I really can't! Microphone and free software such as Audacity is what I use. Simple to use and effective :)

I'd love to help out with this. I'm a native New Englander, although I tend to pick up accents from whomever I'm around. Yes, you! Okay, I've been trying to work on this for about three years and have never really gotten very far. So, I'm hoping you great people from around the many corners of the world will be able to help. I am an amateur voice actor, and someone who is an auditory learner- which is pretty damn hand...
