Re: 1 Year, 100 Movies, 100 Words Apiece (63/100)
You work at a Blockbuster or something? HAHAHAHA! No way Blockbuster would do this, they barely stock anything more than a few years old, and definitely not something so obscure and weird. No, I work at Avenue Video, a small (three store) chain in Montreal. We're run and staffed almost exclusiely b...

Re: The LHC Has Created a Mini Big Bang!
Don't forget how the entire theory of the big bang as I understand it flies in the face of the most basic principles. The idea is that there was nothing and then BANG there's not just something but EVERYTHING. And yet matter and energy can't just come from nowhere, according to our science. Zero can...

I know. I went in to work earlier and my co-workers had found that trailer on a Ninja Turtles dvd. They subsequently found the dvd on eBay for a buck and ordered ten of them.
The plan is to put them up as new releases XD

We ordered ten.

Re: Children's TV
. Is Avatar anime? cause if not that, spongebob and fairly oddparents. Because they are amazing. So just the really clique ones. Avatar is hard to classify. It's made entirely in America, but imitates anime style. What makes it unique is that it imitates it VERY well. It isn't like most other "...

I'm watching the third season of Digimon as we speak.
But I also loved Samurai Jack, Avatar: The Last Airbender and any of the DCAU shows.
There's probably a few I'm forgetting

Re: Conan!
Hmm, can't say it was really my style, but seeing Conan play alongside Jack White (and the Basic Cable Band) was pretty cool. All in all Conan's comeback was a success with me though. It feels like a return to form. Dunno how often I'll be able to catch the show, though. I'm sure I'll regret this to...

Anyway, it's pretty great so far. He really has a sense of humor about himself and the whole fiasco, which is great.
I can't say the guests are too thrilling though. I'm neutral on Seth Rogen and am not a fan of Glee.
Jack White's awesome though, I'll report on how his segment is.

You see the director's cut? Some subtle changes but they make a lot of difference.

Conan!
The premier of Conan O'Brien's new show is in roughly half an hour. In spite of the fact that I'm massively behind in my readings and need to get up in the morning, I'm staying up to watch it.
Anyone else gonna be watching?

Just watched Citizen Kane for the first time in my film class.
FINALLY a classic movie I can legitimately enjoy.
You should probably add that too the list if you haven't watched it already

Honestly this doesn't surprise me that much, which is probably a sign that I've become pretty cynical.
Anyone watch the Philip DeFranco show? His "Douchebag of the Day" segments could often put this to shame, I'm sad to say. Some people are just scum.

They could cart out all the evidence in the world, creationists will most likely keep on believing what they believe. Or somehow modify their beliefs to encorporate the new information. Personally, I say more power to 'em. I personally don't agree with their beliefs (though I do believe in the big G...

Someone wanna explain the scientific merit? Is it to prove string theory, the whole multiverse thing? Cause it would rock if there were alternate universes for every possible reality. Think about it. It would mean there's no such thing as "fiction" cause anything we can think of is reality...
