Re: CheckPoint 148 - Infinity Soft
Of course, the best part about Kathleen's Persona 5 joke is that there was a teaser trailer released last December.
I'd spoil it, but it's a teaser trailer. A very red teaser trailer.

Re: So I pre-ordered the new Commander decks and...
Mark Rosewater has said they can only print the full set of five, so unless the demand for the other four somehow keeps up with the Grixis deck the Grixis deck is going to remain expensive. It's not even like the deck itself is stronger than the other four, it's just got a couple cards that go into...

Re: Protection from _____
If for some reason, you have something like redirect, you could turn your opponent's damage spells onto it. Your opponent still controls the card, just like if it was something with Hexproof.

I look at Spiritual Visit as a 1/1 flash for 1, or for more, you get more bonus stuff.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
I have a question about how specific alternate costs work in relation to converted mana cost. If a spell has an X as an alternate cost(Devil's play with flashback/Entreat the Angels with miracle), while the spell is being cast through an alternate cost is the(or each) X defined as part of the conver...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
I have out an Angel of Serenity that has previously exiled three creature cards in my graveyard, a ]Conjurer's Closet and a Lotleth Troll . If I use the Conjurer's Closet to Flicker the Angel of Serenity, can I discard the same 3 creature cards every turn, or does it return to play from the closet b...

They might be working on it for now, but they might not until after they release their right and proper sequel. Then again, they might not be working on it at all.Kapol wrote:I'm assuming Android is being passed over again?

Carmageddon Comith
For those of you who don't know, if you hurry, you can get Carmageddon on iOS for free today, and sometime into tomorrow. It's a new control scheme for the 1994 game, so if you remember that, enjoy the wreckage.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
A couple of fun little cards from Innistrad have their own twist on extra damage in the combat phase: Ashmouth Hound and Somberwald Vigilante both have effects that deal damage in the Declare Blockers step, so if you can give one of them Double Strike (and/or deathtouch for extra evil-laughter indu...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
Speaking of tokens, I went through an entire booster box, plus probably a couple dozen individually purchased packs of Innistrad since I started playing, and I have yet to see a Spider token. I know they were printed, but did those things somehow wind up mythic-rare or something? I thought they wer...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
ok... every drafter picks a color, a card type type and a CMC. After they have been selected, a 20 sided spin down counter will be rolled for each of the three. Odd- Can not pick selected, Even- MUST pick selected if available. For Example: James Selects Black, Enchantment, and 4. the rolls are 3, ...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Now for a question that's related to something that's not actually related to any card interaction questions. During the RTR release last week, one of the players was pitted against 3 opponents in a row that were intentionally slow playing after they lost their first game. While there is nothing tha...

guys does likelink trigger if you attack a planeswalker directly and decrease the number of counters on it. i.e. does that count as combat damage and you gain life ? Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Can a Goblin Fireslinger's ping be redirected at a planewalker? Yep. Any non-combat damage that would be dealt to an opponent's face can be redirected to a Planeswalker they control. There are restrictions to that(redirection effects won't get redirected if you can destroy the planeswalker before d...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
We're dealing with a pretty bad shortage of RTR down here. Between 2 stores, 3 booster boxes out of 40 cases(of 6 booster boxes), managed to make it down here. That's pretty terrible.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Quick question: if an effect like Goblin Electromancer or Arcane Melee reduces the cost of casting a spell, does that mean its converted mana cost goes down, or does that stay the same? (Context: Attaching a spell to an Isochron Scepter .) No, lowering the mana cost of a spell, only lowers that cos...
