I've been mainlining the yakuza games lately. they quite good really but it's this bizarre combination of melodramatic crime fiction, wacky side activities, over the top combat (featuring so much bicycle murder)that might make it suitable for riffing.

see it's funny because normally James would have the moustache and pretend to be the cop.
that said Paul does all right with the moustache+cop role. could this see the beginning of the character types breaking up? is there an alternate reality where James place the scientist all the time?

geez that sucks. I loved those books so much when I was twelve. Though, I have to wonder who'll his estate will pick to keep writing books in his name. as it seems impossible for any fantasy/sci-fi author to die without anyone carrying on a successful series.
