Red/Black Burn deck idea
I've experienced what a red/white/blue control deck can do, and I don't like playing against Counterflux and Render Silent, along with Assemble the Legion and Elspeth very much. So I've decided to build a really aggressive red burn deck, splashed with black for removal and here's what I've brainstor...

BNG Launch Weekend Hero Card
Does anyone have any extra "The Explorer" hero cards with the cheevo code unused? I drove all over town to the 3 LGS I know of in my vicinity, and nobody had the hero card nor the puzzle poster.

B/U Milling deck
With the coming of Phenax, God of Deception in BNG, I was inspired to build a milling deck. So I constructed a mill deck with the current cards available in standard, but I'm not sure if it would be an effective competitor in FNM. Opinions and suggestions are most welcome! Link: I dubbed this deck, ...

Control Deck Woes
So at tonight's FNM, I played with my mono black devotion deck against a control blue deck with white, black and green splashed. Syncopates, Dissolves, and other removal spells were thrown at me. No matter what I do, it just seems impossible to beat a deck like that. Is the only way to beat a contro...

Re: Black/Blue
If I were going to make any further changes, I think I would take that sideboard Nykthos and run it main board. How is the mana working for you? Also, you have 16 cards in the sideboard... Is that an error, or were you looking for what to cut? Oops! Thanks for catching that Duckay, that totally was...

Re: Black/Blue
Personally, I'd say cut the Tenacious Dead for some land. I'd also say that the blue isn't worth having in the deck. Disolve, Curve, and End aren't worth splashing another color for in my opinion. I'd say it'd be better to switch them out and put in corrupts and some extra black kill (Doom Blade be...

Ahh okay, I'll give both options a try. I have to stop by the LGS tomorrow for those cards.

Mono-red burn with tokens
So I tweaked a red/green deck that was in process of completion, ended up taking out the green and made it all red. It's half burn, half token generation. The Act of Treasons and Portent of Betrayals are there for when I don't like whatever strong creature is giving me problems, plus I gain a red el...

Black/Blue
I came up with this deck after much thought over my previous black devotion deck. I wanted to have some kind of control, so I threw in some blue counter spells and Curse of Swine spells to be able to exile potential indestructibles. Someone suggested to me to have some Pack Rats, and another suggest...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread
Anyone else get the impression that Pyxis of Pandemonium could end up being really powerful in conjunction with all these scry effects? Into the Wilds also comes to mind. Look at the top card of your library, if it's land, you put it into play, if it's not, you decide whether you want to draw it or...

Re: Black Devotion Standard Deck
Welp, tonight's FNM Standard tourny was a bust and my black devotion deck didn't do so well. My record for tonight is 0 wins, 3 losses and 1 bye. My main issue was that my deck was slow to begin with, while everyone else was busting out creatures and target spells before I could get things out. Back...

Black Devotion Standard Deck
So before going to bed last night, I told Juliamon I was going to try to build a deck with devotion to black because it has a lot of devotion abilities that look pretty good. I started off with the Abhorrent Overlord because of it’s harpy populating ability, but I faltered a bit because of it’s sac ...

Wow, sounds like it was a blast at PAX Prime. Hopefully next year I'll be able to go. By the way, Lord Hosk do you still have any pigglesworth pins left?

Re: PAX East 2013 - Will You Be Going?
Sorry that I'm not much of an active forum poster, I'm the quiet type and I lurk every so often when I'm not at work. If it counts for anything, I'm SpaceCore on DesertBus IRC, where I usually hang out. I'm the same guy who won the giant Desert Bus 5 sun catcher auction. Juliamon can vouch for me. :3

I was almost certain, that at some point in the video, a shocker close-up of the creepy little toy dog would appear and loud, scary banshee screaming would cloud my ears.
That will be the day when LRR manages to make me laugh then shit my pants.

Re: PAX EAST(er)! WAARGARBLE EDITION
So here I am in California, and I wasn't able to go to PAX East. About 30 minutes ago, I just received a wake up call from Graham and James via Juliamon. We talked about hunting easter rabbits and suggested stealing colored eggs from kids, lol! It was so awesome to hear from them. Best. Wake up call...
