I remember the Outlast let's nope "Spaghett fucked" actually had some buildup, specifically I think Kathleen was saying something along the line of "He's gonna spaghett you"
Or maybe I'm hallucinating memories.

Re: TTC 80 - Commander Rules & DTK Preview Draft
The problem with Derevi is it's usually used as the commander in a Stax deck, to great effect. So even if you encrust it, turn it into a 0/1 indestructible insect, or turn it into a forest, they'll probably just sacrifice her and get her back in the command zone. Still, I'm all in favor of the rules...

Re: IDDQDerp nextplay poll ROUND 5
I'm pretty sure Alex has no intention of playing I Wanna Be the Guy or some other "frustration game" on stream. He loves well-designed games and IWBtG deliberately breaks fundamental rules of game design for shits and giggles. As true as that is, I honestly think that's the best part of i...

I may have had the endings spoiled for me, but yeah. Two of them involve you dying anyways, you have to either disable a nuke or contain a certain SCP to get the "good" endings.

Re: GPLP next game thread
Something that comes to mind are the games translated/edited by Carpe Fulgur: Chantelise -which I haven't played, so can't say much about it-, Recettear -which is an item shop sim with a dungeon crawler thrown in there- and Fortune Summoners -which is a pretty hard sidescroller action RPG- All the ...

Re: IDDQDerp nextplay poll ROUND 4
For a shorter run, I'd like to recommend Intrusion 2. (Depending on how difficult you find it, it might take from 2-5 hours I think?) It's probably one of my favorite shoot-em-up platformers in recent memory and it features copious amounts of over-the-top gloriousness. Also, lots and lots of mechs.

I haven't played it, and I don't know quite how entertaining it would be without at least cursory knowledge of the SCP Foundation universe, but I've heard good things about SCP Containment Breach Of interesting note is that it mashes together a lot of the SCP universe's horrors, the primary antagoni...

Aw, I'm getting one just a short drive away in Minneapolis but it's Modern, and I play Standard. I guess I'll have to check out the side-events though, those sound fun.

Storm would *not* multi-trigger heroic, because you only cast one copy of the stormed spell, and the rest are copied directly onto the stack.

Re: TTC - BNG Spoilers Round 1
Graham, noooo! Ephara can't draw you multiple cards, because the trigger is just "at the beginning of each upkeep." You only get one trigger, with the condition of whether or not a creature entered the battlefield under your control last turn. Still, pretty cool. I like how these minor god...

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk
I was all pumped to build a commander deck and get back into magic, but the 1-copy rule and legendary general only rule killed it for me :( The singleton rule really makes it for me. It turns the game into a hunt for Magic Christmasland. Maybe you'll pull off the most glorious combo ever that you n...

Was "Black and White" the last episode of the series? If so, 'oh'. It was the last episode of the season. I believe they are going to make more. :D Volume, not season. This was basically the first half of season 1. I've heard talk that they already have plans for a season 3. Whether the v...

Re: TTC - Theorizing Mill
Couple of things that you didn't exactly mention with the mill deck here: Dimir Charm is a 4-of. Of course. Crypt Incursion is disgustingly good in a mill deck. Helps against the aggro matchups to slow things down. Lifegain can be brutal if you're gaining a lot, and crypt incursion can gain a LOT if...

The idea of these "for each card in hand" works interestingly in theory with splice onto arcane stuff, where you might be holding onto a few cards to keep splicing them.
... The problem is, these aren't arcane cards, nor do they splice.

Aye. Truth be told, it's less a matter of finding spare cash and more a matter finding a way to get it, as I don't really have a paypal account or credit card or anything. Hopefully I'll be able to nab an iTunes giftcard or something though.

Re: RWBY
Well now the first volume of the first season is complete. I'd say it was pretty neat, and I certainly enjoyed the many different characters and certainly the action. The plot got a bit predictable at times (the RWBY subreddit was thoroughly unsurprised by Blake's reveal) but it at least went somewh...

Re: Possible deck for Face the Hydra? Feat. Deathtouch Slive
Bought a hydra deck myself to mess around with. Maybe it's just aggro decks (killing a head turn 1 with a rakdos cackler, hunter, and warrior... yup) but in order to really give a challenge I've had to resort to general silliness. A friend of mine tried a rampant growth mode with me, where it starts...

The thing about dominant hands and bows is that both hands will be doing equal work (Newton's law and all) so dominant hand isn't as relevant as you might think.

Throw in artful dodge and this is my exact problem, Cam T.T
Also the old-timey Tarmogoyf bit was odd... but absolutely friggen' hilarious.
