Re: G&K in Japan
Just came back from a trip to Japan, so looking forward to watching the vids. I was only in Tokyo though, not sure if they travelled there?

Re: LRR/DB EU Meetup
This sounds interesting, my brother studies (and lives) in Karlshamn and I've promised to visit him since forever, so might perhaps get around to that and meet some LRR fans in the process? I might be away in August though, been thinking about going back to Japan for a couple of weeks.

Re: The Mixed Emotion Thread
Two of my coworkers retired this week and whilst I've only worked where I'm at currently for 1.5 years it feels kind of bad... I'm happy for them, they really deserve it, one's been with the company for 49 years, the other 33... But man it feels so weird that they're not going to be there on Monday.

Enjoyed this one, just random anecdotes can be a lot of fun to listen to. Also I had no ideas that chemical blueprints were still used The process sounds really similar to making Cyanotypes, which are also blue, I guess they're related.

Re: Rest in Peace Satoru Iwata
What gets me the most about Iwata's death is that I think the gaming world lost a very important voice. Iwata was one of the few truly influential people in the industry who spoke out in favour of making gaming more inclusive, rather than limiting the experience to a narrow audience, which seems to ...

Interesting what film was the original?
It's Ilford Delta 3200, but the grain and structure in the print is mostly due to the printing process.

Drank a lot and for once I'm *not* hungover like crazy, yay! The system works! Edit: Also yesterday was pretty rad, went to the theatre with the parents and saw the stage production of Blackadder (in swedish), afterwarsd we went for a quick pint at a nearby pub, which has been around forever and was...

Re: The thread of win
That's just "put your phone in the microwave to charge it" levels of dumb idea. Well, theoretically, with 2 well designed PSUs it COULD work... It works just fine, me and a colleague did something similar at work a few years ago, we used a secondary PSU to power a HDD which we connected t...

Re: The thread of win
If your GPU requires additional 6 pin power connectors (which I guess is the case) you can try a little trick as long as the PSU in your other PC still works. Basically you can use your old PSU to power your graphics card until you figure things out. However if jamming metal objects into exposed po...

Re: The thread of win
In November my desktop computer crashed (I think the motherboard gave up the ghost), and I've been using my 2009 Macbook White ever since (which I installed Yosemite on, big misstake). But a few days ago my mate told me that they had a spare computer at their work, which wasn't working, but if I cou...

This one fell a little flat for me. We don't really have christmas carols over here, so I've never actually heard the original, which I guess made it a little hard to relate to the humor.

Re: The General Chat thread
I was actually pretty excited, and I didn't really care much about it before (I sort of "grew out" of my Star Wars fanboy period quite some time ago), but something with the music and the X-wings and Millennium Falcon... Regarding the new lightsaber, I'll just leave this here: http://i.img...
