Re: Tinker, Tailor, Solder, Fry

I just caught this week's holiday baking via the archive. I'm definitely on Team More Cooking Please, and I'm excited to try the Scottish shortbread. Please share my thanks to Mr. "Graham's Dad" Stark for coming by the Moonbase to hang out and share some family recipes!

Re: Share your Art with the world!

I was bored at work (it happens quite often), and this time my boredom resulted in the creation of this: a coat of arms for Nsburg. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y208/KyrieEleison/heraldry/nsburg%20COA_med_zpspbnwwowy.png The wavy line represents the Shaughnessy River, and goats and raccoons are ...

Re: LoadingReadyLIVE [the show, not the channel]

I personally loved the Speech-Jammer Shakespeare (though it wasn't a soliloquy by any measure :P ), but I'm also a Shakespeare nerd. I need to show it to my Shakespeare troupe-mates... The Job Interview Against Humanity was hilarious. I honestly would love to see this more often than Raptor Aquarium...

Re: Share your Art with the world!

Thank you, but my fears came true. Mine was the only faux pumpkin of the competition, and I took third place (of three entries) behind a coworker who basically carved the name of the company and his department (disguised as a jack-o-lantern face) into his pumpkin and another coworker who also did a ...

Re: Books you're reading now

I'm reading Stephen Lawhead's The Endless Knot , which is the third book in his Song of Albion trilogy. The trilogy centers on Lewis, a weedy American grad student at Oxford who ends up traveling to Albion, an Otherworld that is part fantasy realm and partly based on Celtic Britain, and finds himsel...

Re: Share your Art with the world!

Tomorrow being Halloween, my office is running a pumpkin contest. However, I'm not much of a fan of pumpkins - the taste, the spice, hollowing out the gunk and trying to carve the dumb thing - so I decided upon building a diorama in a fake pumpkin. Here's the creepy overgrown cemetery that I put tog...

I've said before that Qwerpline was my favorite thing to come from the Mystery Box, but I think this might trump that. Every episode is fantastic in its own way - and sure, sometimes there may be hiccups, but even SNL has those. Keep up the great work - I already can't wait for the next one!

Re: Tinker, Tailor, Solder, Fry

I am currently watching the August 23 episode and noticed that the "Commercial Break" slide (the one with "Tinker Tailor...") has "commercial" misspelled. Unless of course that was intentional, considering how Ian prefers the alternative/British pronunciation of "s...

Re: Giving Up

A stellar debut for Penelope!

I love it that the bin for keeping "Baby" was specifically labeled with a "do not put a baby in this bin" pictogram.

In addition to Tiny Stark, this was one of my favorite episodes from this year. Loved everything start to finish.

Re: Desert Bus 9 Discussion

Just a quick update from what I posted last night: The daughter of a friend of mine/coworker of my mom was just diagnosed with bone cancer. Her name is Ally and she's 11. She is now in the hospital to begin 6 weeks of chemo. Her cancer was found in her bone marrow, her hip, I think one of her verteb...

Judging by Graham's tweet ("Everything is great :)"), I'm going to guess everybody is happy and healthy, which matters most of all.

Beej ladle-slapping Cameron was the best part. And it's so Canadian (I assume): it's not that it's morally wrong to mind control your friends, it's that it's not polite.

Cam should try to take over the world more often.

Apparently my reaction to Raphael's demonstration was loud enough that my mom had to come in and ask if I was okay.

I was also about to make a pun on "internal combustion," but am choosing to restrain myself.

This is my favorite thing to come from the Mystery Box.

Is there a possibility we could see some of the behind-the-scenes stuff in a Loading Time? I'd love to see Qwerpline in its purest uncut form.

I wasn't a fan at first of the corpsing, as I was getting into the idea of nsburg as a real (weird) place. I also thought it was going to be a bit more scripted at first, too - less like the Qwerpline of Desert Bus and more like a typical radio show. However, the more I listen to it, the more I love...

Cam's suit was brilliant. Kind of hard to be stealthy in it, though... wrappers crinkle.

The live match that Cam snuck through - was that staged, or did that really happen?

Also, does "Lady Crimson Bowtie" and "Mr. Hourglass" mean Beej has (had) pet black widows?
