Re: Sidewalk Slam Ep7 - Payback 2016
I realize I am in the minority here, but I really wish you guys would go back to breaking down everything into storylines rather than recapping Raws and PPVs. The main reason I felt comfortable jumping into wrestling in the first place was that with the help of Sidewalk Slam ep 1, I had a good idea ...

Another suggestion: The Rifters Trilogy (Starfish, Maelstrom and ßehemoth) by Peter Watts. They're very definitely not YA, but they're extremely interesting dystopias.

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk
So I ordered a couple cards for my Narset deck, and I am tentatively calling it finished for now. There are still two cards on the way for it, Rhystic Study and Aggravated Assault, but first tests indicate this deck is really fun. //Commander 1 Narset, Enlightened Master //Lands 1 Azorius Chancery 1...

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk
So I just discovered that there are ninety-eight different Sliver cards now. Excluding the apparently-designed-as-a-counter-sliver-weapon Plague Sliver, that's more than enough to make a Sliver commander deck! Sadly, the necessity of all that mana fixing - and the probable price of one or more of a...

1&2. Unfortunately cards that enable taking another turn are on my small play-group's very short list of "that's not fun to play against" mechanics (alongside milling), even though they're absolutely viable strategies and can be boss, we just don't have fun when we interact with them,...

Kay, so. I'm building a Boros colored Dragon & Soldier Commander Deck, the theme is surrounding the life and current rule of Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones. Haven't discussed it with anyone but the boyfriend, brother, and close friends thus far, but wanted to get some feedback and have...

Re: IDDQDerp
I know Erin isn't a shining beacon of example to base female characters off of but it is an encouraging first step that more females characters are being included in major parts. We have to learn to crawl before we can run. We've been "crawling" for at least a decade at this point. If gam...

Also, I must disagree (to a degree, anyway) re: the robot turrets: I think that they hammer home the inability of them to rely on their technology to save them. At the time, it looks effective, and makes the realization that the aliens have gotten around it with ease all the more crushing. Is it ne...

Re: M15 Prerelease Experiences
I went with the white pack. Ended up building a WUR thing that can only be described as "a deck", using Boonweaver Giant to draw out Spectra Ward and others, while punching face with an assortment of other white creatures (I used the red for burn, Hammerhand and Brood Keeper; the blue for ...

I've been tuning my Angels deck a bit, switched Gisela as Commander for Aurelia, and put in a couple cards from Conspiracy and Theros block, and voila: //Commander 1 Aurelia, the Warleader //Lands 1 Boros Garrison 1 Boros Guildgate 1 Command Tower 1 Emeria, the Sky Ruin 1 Evolving Wilds 1 Homeward P...

Remember Me is one of those games where the idea of the game is much more interesting and engaging than the reality of it. Back when it was announced, I was completely hyped for it, its sense of style and the Phillip K Dick-ish nature of what the story was hinted to be, combined with the post-Human ...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread
In my experience, Anax and Cymede's heroic ability does not get a chance to shine in Commander. Granted, it heavily depends on how many combat tricks or other trigger effects you're running (I tend to include cards that kill other creatures over single-shot buffs), but it's still a card with rather ...

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk
It started off as a Boros Deck, but has since evolved into being more Angel-based. I'd love to have stuff like Angelic Destiny, or Avacyn, or Archangel of Thune in there, but those are pretty pricey :D There's also a slot reserved for Iroas when Journey into Nyx comes out. Also, I sort of forgot to ...

The base assault (You mean the one that you have to do once you get the skeleton key, right?) is about the midway point of the game.

It's running on a version of the FreeSpace Open engine, and as such is guaranteed to run on even the newest ...
