Re: KickStarter Smoothie
Just a thought, how much do we gotta pay to make you guys take another round from the suggestions. I mean their are like another 170 suggestions. I eagerly await the "Year of LRR... Drinking Weird Smoothies" Kickstarter  Seriously though, I would pay money to watch more of this. Giv...

I'm in Lexington Park (Southern MD). I know it's about 1.5 hours to DC, but I can't remember the drive time to Baltimore. I have a car, so a day trip would be easy to plan.

Re: Advice Thread
I have very low tolerance for people who suffer through inaction. But if my cousin were to move away and have them face the consequences of their inactivity, there's a tacit agreement that they'd end up "permanently worse", to put it mildly. The problem with this sort of situation is that...

I'm not sure the exact rate, but I've heard that ad-only funding is pretty slim unless you're pewdiepie and have millions of subs. It always surprises me when I see a content creator with 100k-500k subscribers and is able to make ends meet using only ad revenue. In all honesty, I'd rather give someo...

Hardcore Gaming 101 has recently started one.

Considering how much time I spend reading their articles, it's well worth the support.

I'm going to agree with someone in the Youtube comments and humbly suggest "X ways to get rid of the WiiPlay shirts" as a future X ways to Y.
I've seriously watched this video 4 times, and I still crack up.

Since you did it for Unskippable, Way of the Samurai 3 might make a good GPLP game. It's essentially a "choose your own adventure" book, with over 32 different endings depending your actions. This includes a special ending for killing EVERY NPC in the game. Each run can take anywhere from ...

Re: IDDQDerp
I guess that's true. Some of the missions are cool, but some of them can't compare to the crazy shit you can do on your own. Occasionally I'll just try to travel from one side of the map to the other and see what shenanigans I run into on the way.

Just a few tips for Just Cause 2. The parachute acts realistically, so you need to conserve momentum. Pulling up raises altitude while lowering speed. Diving does the opposite. You can use the hookshot to drag yourself towards the ground or trees to build up momentum and keep yourself moving. Doing ...

Even as an American, I know you have worse ways to get drunk in Australia than boxed wine. From what I've heard, Victoria Bitter has a worse reputation than PBR or Milwaukee's Best... and that's really saying a lot

So I'm reading this thread and thinking how there are all these people in it that I'd really love to get to meet and chat with, and how there are so so many things that I myself always want to go to and just can't afford either time or money wise, and such is life which is sad, and thinking hey, ma...

Traveling the length of the US twice for a 1-day show didn't really work for me either. I was thinking of touring Seattle to make the flight seem less like a waste, but I don't even have 2 days worth of leave saved up yet. I'd have to be back by Monday. Oh well, I guess my new location means that PA...

Since LRRcon is this weekend and I'm sure quite a few fans can't make the trip out to Seattle (myself included), I figured some mutual commiseration was in order. So, why are you going to miss LRRcon? Personally, it was simply bad timing. I just graduated college and moved a few hundred miles to sta...

After watching Tally play Kirby, I'm convinced you guys need to buy a proper USB retro controller. Mapping to a 360 controller works well enough, but the sub-par d-pad is useless for 2D games. I recommend this one: http://www.amazon.com/Buffalo-Classic-U ... controller Unlike most USB controllers, i...

Tapir: Backing up what Darkobra said, Windows 8 doesn't necessitate a touchscreen device. While some of it's features are designed for use on a tablet, it still has the desktop and functionality you'd expect. There's a significant difference between rigorous education standards and a system so lax that it's impossible to fail. I was fortunate enough to go to a rigorous math/science program within the normal public high school, but many of my friends were stuck in classes that were nothing but glorified b...
