Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
Avacyn Restored is really making me want to build a commander deck around Kaalia of the Vast . I don't know how you fix the mana in WBR, but that deck would be so much fun. Command Tower , Darksteel Ingot , guild signets , Rupture Spire , fetch lands , pain lands , conversion lands , and Coalition ...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
On the subject of commander, who else has a commander deck? Who is your commander? My main commander deck is Teysa and I love it. So many interactions and synergies. If you want my decklist I can post it (although posting 100 card decklists for EDH would be a huge wall of text...). My other deck ru...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
I enjoyed Scars a lot and I was definitely NOT an infect player. Not the greatest set in the world, but it was fun. Ravnica, however, I hope super high hopes for. I know they will not reprint Bob (I wish they did, I only have 1, heh). I wonder, what kind of lands will we see? Lesser versions of the ...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
Wow, the power creep in this set is the nuts. Tibalt, the 2 cmc walker? Desolate Lighthouse for my Niv Miz EDH? Cathar's Crusade might revive Tempered Steel for a couple months. Grisselbrand looks like a fun commander to tinker with, same with Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. Tamiyo, the Moon Sage looks ...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
@unkowngamer According to the rules text, you can only play it WHEN you draw it (and also if its your first draw this turn). It's a replacement effect, so you if you want the miracle cost, you have to play it at that time.

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
The interesting thing with the miracle mechanic is that you can do it during any turn, just has to be the first draw for that turn. So you can potential be castin' miracles on their turn by setting yourself up with ponder and casting think twice on their turn. Dunno how effective it will be, but I m...
