This TTC was recorded June 27th, that tweet is from July 4th, so he should be on for the next TTC whenever that is released.

Re: The Limited thread

http://i58.tinypic.com/2196n7p.png A Vintage Masters draft I did. I went in trying to force blue as it's the only color I hadn't played yet, and ended up with more or less a U/R good stuff deck with a bunch of removal, some decent threats, and some ways to draw or dig through cards. Finished 2-1 on...

Re: The Magic Venting Thread

Time for some venting courtesy of MTGO user Jaguar5555 (not a fan of calling people out, unless they are total jerks like this person). So I join an Innistrad flashback swiss draft (I wasn't playing back when it was out so I didn't want to jump in an 8-4). I drafted a pretty sweet mono-white aggress...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

If you aren't doing anything this Saturday, it might be something to look into. Also the events are first come so you'll probably want to be on when they first show up (this Wednesday at about 2:00 PM PDT), especially the MMA ones. Heh, I got up this morning and jumped straight onto MTGO to try to ...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but MTGO is running some test events this coming Saturday to try and test changes to big events. You can join either Shadowmoor block sealed events (I assume these are phantom and the info just is incorrect, but the info does suggest they are normal events) or phant...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

This was what I thought we'd see from Wizards when it came to the god packs. Let the rumor mill get going, keep a level of mystery and doubt around them, and then once enough people start seeing them confirm that they are real and give some info on what to do if you open one in competitive play. I w...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

I find it difficult to even imagine how that could happen (even taking into account that mistakes have of course happened before) so I find that pretty hard to believe. If it was real it would have to be an intentional thing Wizards did, almost like the Priceless Treasures thing with Zendikar. It k...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

So anyone see the reddit post about a potential "god" pack from Journey into Nyx? Basically someone at a store opened a Journey pack and it wasn't a normal booster, but rather the 15 cards were one copy of each of the 15 gods. It hasn't been confirmed, so it's very possible it's just be a ...

Re: The Journey Into Nyx Happy Fun Spoiler Time Thread!

Looks like LRR got a nice one for their spoiler. One card and 2 mana at instant speed to take care of all your opponents Thassa or Erebos or any other god? And can even take care of a Detention Sphere, Underword Connections, or other relevant enchantments. I think there are some decks out there that...

Re: The Journey Into Nyx Happy Fun Spoiler Time Thread!

Overall, I think I'm going to like Journey into Nyx much more than Born of the Gods. For me I'm sure the "new and shiny!" thing plays a part, but so far it does seem like a sweeter set than Born of the Gods. Also, resolving Worst Fears is now probably my number one goal of full Theros blo...

I kind of wanted this to have as much of a video game feel as possible. You know you just about beat the game and then it comes down to the final boss.

It's the Voice of Resurgence Elemental token. Only Voice itself, Blood Baron, and Ral Zarek are currently worth more from the set. This is only counting non-foils, there are a few other foil rares and mythics from the set worth a bit more.

Re: The Limited thread

I'm glad we're getting a few more Flashback drafts between now and the new set, especially Mirrodin and Invasion blocks, both of which I have very little experience drafting. Also, while this could be typo, it seems the cost for these has gone back to 14 tickets (or 2 tickets plus product), which is...

Re: The Limited thread

So we're back to Rise of the Eldrazi for this week's Flashback Format, which is both good (it's quite a fun and interesting format) and bad (there's very little value in the cards). I did a few drafts just for the fun factor, but now I'm back to M14 (the best current value among the available draft ...

Re: The Limited thread

So the Flashback Draft for this week is... Modern Masters. As per when it first hit, the drafts are quite a bit more expensive than a normal draft (4 tix and product or 25 tix). I probably won't do more than a couple due to the cost, but it is a really fun format and if they go as well as this first...

Re: The Limited thread

So Tempest Block has been running this week and I really wasn't running very well to start, luckily I had a few good opens (an Oath of Druids, some Rolling Thunders and Lotus Petals, and even got passed an Ancient Tomb). Then tonight I finally got a 3-0 deck together, this blue/red one built mostly ...

Re: Assassin's Creed IV

I'm currently waiting for a copy from Gamefly to arrive, but I'm excited for it. I also found the sailing sections of AC III to be some of the most enjoyable for me, and in general I've always been a big AC fan. Thankfully Batman is doing a decent time occupying me, but I expect a lot of my November...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

And Master of Waves just jumped up to a $20 card too. I sure picked the right night to open one in a MTGO draft :D Of course I also opened an Ashiok, so basically in one draft I had more luck with opens than in the entirety of Dragon's Maze and M14. Doesn't hurt that they can both be bombs in limit...

Re: The Limited thread

First Theros draft on MTGO is in the books and I should probably just quit while I'm ahead. 3-0 with this deck, mainly red with some light blue and white. It wasn't a super-cohesive deck (I started trying for an aggressive red/white heroic deck but didn't really get there), but it worked well and wi...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

Warrior's Lesson seems potentially insane (in limited at least) with Heroic. Trigger 2 Heroics, draw 2 cards, all for 1 green at instant speed? Of course that's definitely best-case thinking, but green has a few creatures that people just aren't going to block often like Centaur Battlemaster (which ...
