Re: G&K In Japan - Day 8: Cube Eggs & Triangle Houses

Seems a good place as any to put this:

Thank you very much for posting these videos. More than anything else they have made my wife interested in travelling to a non-English-speaking country (in this case Japan), which has sparked her curiosity. I thank you very much! :D

Re: Talking Simulator

Pardon me, but what would they be discussing with such a study? Neither game has a pronounced story (AC far more than Civ, admittedly), and it sounds like this would be little more than a slideshow or lecture than a discussion/game stream. That said, I would LOVE to have something like this come up ...

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron

Technically this show doesn't exist anymore, but it seems appropriate judging by all of Cameron's "bonus streams" with Total War: Warhammer. First of all, DAMN YOU CAMERON FOR MAKING ME WANT TO BUY ANOTHER $70+ GAME!!! Second of all, while I know that you love the Empire for the FABULOUS w...

Re: LoadingReadyLIVE [the show, not the channel]

I also really love this show, and am despaired that due to Magic it appears to be preempted for a month (the regularly scheduled episode is during their Eldritch Moon event). That said, aside from the more microscopic topics ("what is your favourite Overwatch character?") which really are ...

Re: AFK

Thank you very much for Nightmare! For reference, the 'expansions' of Nightmare all have different people as the Host as you suggest, with Expansion #1 being Baron Samedi. This set contains new Fate cards, New Time Cards, and a new 60 minute video tape. Everything else is identical (including one pl...

Re: Talking Simulator

Just wanted to say that my wife LOVES this show. She generally doesn't watch the LRR streams (the occasional Cameron stream, AFK, and some Crossing the Streams were the only ones she'd watch), but this one tickles her fancy.

Good job! :D

Re: AFK

I have had a similar experience with Two Rooms and a Boom when Shut Up and Sit Down did their 'let's play' of the game. Originally I was not sure about it, but then watching Quinns on that show play it, I was convinced that this game was NOT for me. It turns out it is just too easy to have one perso...

Re: AFK

I will add another vote to the camp of not wanting to know. While I can appreciate the fact that having the roles stated clearly makes it easier to follow on the screen, I feel it removes all the drama of the game for me the watcher. I know I spent the time I watched them play Secret Hitler, I was s...

Re: AFK

Thanks for all the boardgames yesterday! My only critique is the highly inconsistent sound levels within each game. CaH is a good example with Julie being almost imperceptible even at the highest volume, and Alex melting my brain with volume even at the lower volumes. I'm sure it ultimately is a fun...

Sorry to keep blowing my own horn (as stated, I do have a stake in this), but just want to keep posting the every-three-days-or-so updates. The book is funded! This means that if you are interested, for as little as US$15 you can get a 180+ page pdf full of magic items which can be used in many 5e c...

Re: New 5e Kickstarter! Arcanis - Forged in Magic: Reforged

For those interested, the book is almost funded! We only need another US$114 to go to get the base, soft-cover book done. If you haven't contributed and are interested, take a gander. The pdf is only US$15 to back, and US$35 for the physical book (not counting shipping).

New 5e Kickstarter! Arcanis - Forged in Magic: Reforged

Howdy! Full disclosure on this: I was involved as a writer for this Kickstarter, mostly helping convert items into the Dungeons and Dragons 5e OGL format. As such, I am not an unbiased person in promoting this Kickstarter. That said, those who play 5e should take a look at this Kickstarter! There ar...

Re: AFK

I enjoyed this stream a lot on it's own merits and, I must say, because I was getting a bit tired of Magic AFKs. A little criticism, maybe Cam should write a bit more box text, so he doesn't have to improvise all the descriptions, which got somewhat slow and confusing a few times. Also: Can someone...

Not sure if this is the best thread for this, but since an (apparently) single tweet brought back the Dante's Inferno GPLP, can we get Cursed Crusade back too? I've been watching these again and I loved the discussions you three had.

Top 5, in order I remember of their existence (note: I only really started watching you guys in Season 8 or 9):

SPRING!
Doctor's Hate Her
The Whole Story: Pants
Omni-Lingual
The Couch

Special mention to How to Talk Like a Pirate.

As mentioned in the MA MAGfest panel you guys may play Nightmare/Atmosfear. I should point out that I have a copy of the first expansion with Baron Samadi though I think my wife would kill me if I got rid of it. If you are ever in Edmonton, though, I'd be glad to lend it to you for a bit ;-)

Re: LRRcast - Star Wars

And here is the question: Was that original text written long ago and the corrections made recently, or was the original made about the same time as the corrections? I say this because it is REALLY easy to make data agree if you try hard enough. I am sure I could write a similar treatment to this to...

Re: LRRcast - Star Wars

I debate your comment about them being faceless to him. Once they are in their armour, unless you know who was in the uniform (via name tag, watching them put their armour on, voice, etc) the Stormtroopers become undifferentiated rather fast. When he is in a TIE Fighter, I don't think he is close en...

Re: Lava Bears Adventure

From what I understand the OGL still requires him to change a fair amount of copyrighted stuff (ie: The title "dungeon master" is apparently not usable, and neither is DM in a non-official adventure). I do writing for the Arcanis Universe and we're converting some material to 5e and it is ...
