Re: Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, Part 1

I do not want a part 2. That would be like doing a Rifftrax over an old Buck Rodgers type radio show or something. Don't you already have a backlog of terrible games to try? I would rather see new terrible content than a part 2 of existing terrible content.

Re: The Whole Story: Batteries

That's 3 videos in a row now where Paul has been the only person in the thumbnail. Slowly but surely, his dominion grows... As soon as he finishes his underwater rapture, we'll all be doomed It definitely seems like that video is ripe for a follow-up. It could certainly stand on its own while havin...

Re: Poker

Here's my first tale, which was amazing when it happened but I had no one to tell it to. The pub that hosts the free poker I attend runs three or four tables of eight, and table one is typically a particular six or so regulars and one or two others to make up numbers. The first time I played on tab...

Card Hunter Beta Keys

I received three Card Hunter beta keys this morning. If anyone is interested or knows someone that's interested let me know here or via PM. I burned out on it after a little under 10 hours, but I'm sure there are people playing pretty religiously for much longer. Not the greatest game I've played, b...

Thanks for the info Paul! It's good we won't have to kidnap you - I mean accost you - I mean wistfully only see you from afar. The upside to there being nothing to do in Durham is that it's pretty cheap to get there, stay there and eat things. We'll see.

Re: Escapist Expo 2013

Is there any sense for how much interaction there is with the guests of honor? Let's face it, I would be going there solely for Graham & Paul and Yahtzee. There are conventions in and around Chicago that would be much more convenient for me to attend, but they'll never have Graham & Paul. Ya...

Re: TTC - Lady Planeswalkers Society

Going along with the idea of Thrulls designed for damage on the stack (I miss stacking damage :(), Interrupts were different than instants when that card was printed. Interrupts, essentially, were faster than instants. You could only respond to an interrupt (e.g., Counterspell) with another interrup...

Re: TTC - Modern Draft Statistics

Alas, upon further work, the dataset is not built to do what I want it to do to get a playability number. In particular, there's too much double-counting. For instance, we know that any time a Sword of Light and Shadow won a game, that deck played at least 1 other game and there is around a 40% chan...

Re: TTC - Modern Draft Statistics

mtgratingtester, any chance you can provide the same spell distribution vs. W/L table information for DGM - was called draftgamedbMM.xlsx for MMA drafts? It would give an estimate on the number of spells played per game. Just to make sure, is the DGM file only from DGM/GTC/RTR drafts? We might be ab...

Echoing everyone else. This is the funniest LRR update in years. Waking up in the chair was brilliance and I'd love to hear who came up with that idea. My money would be on Paul, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear if it was anyone else. The basic concept is merely mildly amusing, but the execution ...

Re: TTC - Modern Draft Statistics

i dont think there is enough data (games) for the non-DGM sets to draw conclusions? maybe M13 is close. qrpth is providing credible intervals which take into account sample size in doing their estimations. You'll notice that some are certainly wider than others so conclusions can be drawn even with...

Re: TTC - Modern Draft Statistics

What does "Measure of being a good card: appearing in winning decks." mean, anyway? When I wrote that comment at about 02:00 in my code I probably meant that good cards appear in good decks so let's calculate the probability of that. I think that number means nothing at all. What was your...

Re: TTC - Modern Draft Statistics

These data are pretty cool. I'm not going to take the time to dig them out, but there was 1 common that was never cast, 6 uncommons, 5 rares and no mythics. In 19,243 drafts, each draft saw about 16750 (+-240) copies of each common (fudging for foil lands), 7700 (+-56) of each uncommon, 2540 (+-22) ...

When do the spoiler tags officially come off? It's difficult to highlight text mobile. :) I would be very happy to see John Hurt as the 9th Doctor, but it's going to wreak havoc with the canon, because we'll have to shift everyone up by one and it's bound to create loads of confusion. So...

Not related directly to this video, but there's some weird stuff going on with where the videos are being posted. Season 2 Episode 40 doesn't show up on PATV when you go to the overall Checkpoint page (you can get to it from Ep 39 and "next" button). Season 2 Episode 42 is hosted on loadin...

I'm with Genghis on this one regarding the reviews, but I also need to upgrade my old Intel processor first. All of these simulation games are processor hogs when you get past the beginning stages. Once the cities get sprawling enough I can't imagine what would happen to my poor little Q6600. Probab...

Re: Desert Bus donation formula analysis

I don't think you can write off product purchases that include a donation to charity in the price. YOU didn't make the donation, you bought the product. The person/company who provided the product donates the money out of their pocket so should claim the tax benefit. Yep. If you purchased something...

I liked the American version better if for now other reason than the interaction between Ryan, Colin and Drew. We'll see how much chemistry Aisha has with the cast whoever that turns out to be. While I wasn't a big fan of the song numbers, overall, I never stopped marveling at how Wayne Brady could ...

I didn't mean to criticize. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't lost in the aether of Canadian and U.S. Post. I'm likewise surprised this year had 30% more stuff than previous year. Desert Bus is so big now that a full-time employee wouldn't be enough to make a good-sized dent in its upkeep. Keep f...
