Re: Just Drive

All I could think about when I noticed that figurine of Jesus on the dashboard was that line in cH: "oh, I was just telling Matt what a great Jewish friend you are" referring to Ben.

Completely out of context with the video, but I thought it rather funny.

Re: The Job

Good first video for the Escapist. Gave a bit of an introduction for those who don't know about the 1337 skillz of all the LRR crew (minus Bill and Morgan). Lack of HD will sadden me though. James' title was my favorite, and he clearly attended the school of dictatorial improvement.

Re: EA is pulling the plug on "older" game servers

Support for the last two versions of sports games is reasonable imo. I think Matt speaks from experience when he's talking about the throngs coming in to trade out last year's Madden.

Anyway, if the game still has a dedicated fanbase, they'll find a way around any lack of official servers.

Damn you Quantum Physics! Awesome vid, thanks for the update, and that "keep calm and carry on" screen is super-cool! I will steal it momentarily I think for an avatar or something.

Also, just curious but why wasn't this available in HD?

Or if they had daughters... Hilarious! I did notice that the studio light was reflecting off Graham's glasses quite a lot though. A bit distracting.

Re: Merry Christmas Graham Stark

That was the perfect antithesis of a Charlie Brown Christmas. And by "perfect antithesis" I mean it in the most superb way. I found the whole thing compelling. After the Charlie Brown sweater Graham was wearing, the dialogue was what tipped me off. Music sealed the deal! And I thought last...

Re: Matt Gets His Groove

That was, simply put, a brilliant reimagining of commodoreHUSTLE. Taking all the best parts from season one and just condensing them a little, minus the overarching story. If all the episodes in season two are this good, LRR is definitely in for an even stronger season this year. The jokes kept comi...

Bad Company 2 is looking awesome! It'll include another SP campaign as well as normal Battlefield MP. And at least DICE remembers the PC users. Dedicated servers and 32 players FTW! All coming in at $50.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: LRR + The Escapist = Success

Optimistic, but reluctant for change, I wish LRR the very best in this new segment of their journey to fame and bringing us awesome content! Graham, Paul and the rest have considered this thoroughly, and are smart people, I know. Thus, I'm sure they have picked the best path to proceed with their go...

Re: House of the Dead

I would have to agree, James pulled off the zombie character really well. Same goes for everyone else too though. Paul's delivery of 'tepid bitch' was undoubtedly my favorite. The length was really good on this one too. Sure, it was long for an LRR video, but in order to sustain the suspension of di...

Re: Infinity Ward/Activision VS PC Gamers - FIGHT!

Paying for DLC doesn't bother me at all really. I've already done it for Fallout 3 and Empire: Total War. As long as the prices aren't exorbitant and the content is respectable, I'm OK with it. And while Matt may consider this whining, I don't think I've ever played a PC shooter without the "fe...

Re: Infinity Ward/Activision VS PC Gamers - FIGHT!

Fortunately I still have high hopes for Battlefield BC2. I don't *think* DICE would screw the community over like this at least. I love dedicated servers because you usually end up playing with the same group of players. Maybe all of them aren't your 'friends' but at least you recognize them. So thi...

Re: Building a PC

I built an AMD quad-core based system about 6 months ago and it has been completely superb thus far. The Phenom IIs hit a price point well below the Core i7s and I would say that you aren't going to notice any difference in game performance between a Phenom II 955 and a Core i7 920. Both support DDR...

Re: I was just curious if there are any Total War fans here.

Now's the time to be excited about Empire goat. It's finally getting up to snuff since patch 1.5. One strong tactic that I like in RTW to keep your empire expanding is to train two armies with ten units apiece and leapfrog them from city to city. If you're playing as Rome - post marius for instance,...

I'm also wondering what the deal was with my sub going crazy as bradleyrains said. Loved the constantly changing subtitles with terrible puns tha...

Re: The Super Smash Bros (Brawl) Rant

In a serious tournament, I would say no items and only 1v1 on a random map selection with the really large ones removed. Any other time, items are a go. However, I mostly prefer to take out health items, smash balls and the dragoon. Low or very low item appearance is more enjoyable I think. When pla...

I liked the more relaxed humor feel of this one. Something you can just sit back and watch with it still being funny without the active hilarity of most videos... Yeah, I'm lazy what can I say. Also, you say the word "mosquitoe" funny, Graham. More of an emphisis on the 'MOS' than I'm used...

Re: Morgan is Going on a Trip

So how long is Morgan's excursion projected to last? I might could offer something, but the later in the summer it gets, the better the chances.

I'm guessing it's like he said in the video. "I didn't really plan this" but I'm interested to see how long this lasts.
